Well apparently many politicians believe that kids are mature enough to vote at 16, that being so someone 2 years older should be able to look after themselves?

LA has responsibilities until 21. I ran a programme in in LA to improve the provision for care leavers. Each young person had a plan with a tailored set of actions that could include for example a mentor, health and education support, transition to work support and a housing officer etc.
The support was designed in part by the care leavers themselves and some are f them were well placed for life as an adult others were obviously in need of a lot of support.
