As somebody posted on facebook - I hope they get a good warranty with that scoreboard, it's going to be fookin' busy!

Well done Richard and Francis on getting this first item underway.

Might be worth looking at one that can handle double figures too, if current trends are owt to go by.

Edit: Fitting gesture.

I listened to the recent Podcast involving Francis and his involvement with Cloughie ( well worth a listen with good humour thrown in)..........the guy really was a legend to the Club.

The fact that his legacy is to be used for the benefit of the fans is his dying wish.

Needs to be honoured "the Cloughie Scoreboard"

Good addition to the facilities, and something that we can remember Cloughie by. It should also generate advertising income for the club if managed properly.

Also note that Cloughies estate is buying some airconditioning in the lounge. About blinking time...it's always been boiling hot there after matches or at functions.

Well done to all concerned.

I suggested one like this would be appropriate, given our high scoring games

I can only hazard a guess at what he would have said to you, Chalky, after signing you up for Goldbond, of course 😁

Fantastic gesture by a true legend. Top bloke, will never forget his bike parked, stood with its pedal on the kerb, in Littleborough. Thank you Cloughie. I raise my glass

He would have used something stronger than "bloody", believe me!

Agreed. Cloughie specifically wanted his money to improve the 'lot' of the fans. The general concensus is to improve Spotland in a fan-centric way adding comfort and entertainment in such a way that it can help the club generate additional funds. An excellent function room is a step the right way, as is a scoreboard, which if managed imaginatively could conceivably pay for itself over a handful of seasons. I wonder who the first fan to propose on our scoreboard will be for example!
