On Sunday 22nd July,Smegs,at mad dog midday I found myself on a sweltering packed and pushing heaving non-air-con Oxford Circus Central Line westbound platform. Travelling on the tube must be unbearable. As Smegma said, it’s practically 40c on the Central Line.
If it’s any consolation, our driving cabs on the Piccadilly Line gets so cold with the air conditioning on, that I sometimes have to switch it off for a few minutes.
Mind you, if I encounter one that isn’t working properly, the train will be straight out of service.
