Sadly he passed away Monday after battling cancer. We cried together in 76, 82 and 86. He would have cried tonight too.

Luckily we will always have Bobby Zamora to look back on.

Condolences York, lost my Dad early 2014, he started watching the R's in 1939, and ensured that myself and my brother continued the tradition, it was easy then early '70's and a great side developing. Still miss him, but as a joke, always think what Dad would say after a performance, and at best tonight he would use the word 'abject'. Dad was always more polite than me. Keep the good memories to mind, they help big time.

Condolences York, was in the same position just a couple of years back. I was thinking on the way home last night how completely pee’d off he’d have been watching that shambles but consoled myself with the fact that we’d shared the Marsh, Bowles and Francis eras and the fact his last match was the Derby comeback!
