Retro "arcade" games were superb I started off getting addicted to playing Space Invaders and PacMan in Magnum Force Records and continued this on with Gorph, Lunar Lander, Asteroids, Moon Crester and Track & Field
Many happy hours spent on my own (as I had no friends) playing Defender on the ATARI along with Centipede, Donkey Kong, Frogger, Chuckie Egg and countless others at home. I really wish I'd kept my consoles in top notch order as they'd be classics now. The tapes did used to wear out quick though.
i looked into buying a proper old school table top arcade game for an office fit out area as we had a retro break out space but the only pucker ones I could find were over £3k!!!
Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

HaRGH Hargh Hargh Hargh Thats how that big fella used to laugh when he killed you. Loved that game ..
That's the one Pom !! you had to save the Bird who had been kidnapped by the big boss and at the end of each level you had to beat up the top boy who was there as well as deal with flying midgets trying to knife you
Lblock its called Kung fu master I think
god the money I wasted on that thing

Kung Fu Master was great fun but really hard in the Arcade, completed it on my Amstrad CPC!!! That and as already mentioned, Star Wars Arcade (Atari Star Wars). Remember a family holiday to Westward-Ho down in Devon where in the foyer to the clubhouse they had that very machine. 10p x2 to play, a fair bit of wedge for kids back then. My mum fed my brother and I a pound a day so we could go play that to death. If you could get through to the the third wave and the strafe attack on the Death Star, you to the dreaded Towers....
The Bollocks
Anyone remember Phoenix?

Christ Toast I would've saved you a fortune if I was down there with you.. Spin to win. One 10p spun with a calloused thumb equalled 3 credits.

Anyone remember this crap game. Crazy Balloon. They had one in the shop where we'd wait for the bus for school. My mate was a master at it.I could'nt see the point. No space ships ,no tanks or no mortal kombat ..No point.
What was the one where you started as a weedy man and by the end of the level if you got the power ups you turned into a wolf and fcked shit up? My grandad had that machine in his pub and I was addicted to it.
EDIT: Found it! Altered Beast. Amazing game!
