Long Enough !!! 8 months on the training ground is long enough to show a bit of f ucking Character and enough time to able to pass to one another
| And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

Is anyone really surprised by the score tonight? on 11:12 - Apr 9 by BrianMcCarthy | Couldn't agree more. That's my sense of the Rangers fans at the moment, too. All fans ever want is pride. Winning is not the only way to pride. [Post edited 9 Apr 2014 12:27]

I went to watch FC Utd play Chorley last night. I'd forgotten football could be enjoyable. I'm sick of people saying "but we'd have taken third at the start of the season", I can't even be arsed arguing about it any more.

Is anyone really surprised by the score tonight? on 23:56 - Apr 8 by Hunterhoop | Yeah, it's a tad waffly. Just fed up with the same old stuff from Dave. We disagree. I have my reasons, he has his, for the opinions we have. It's not a case of just me not accepting his point of view. It works both ways. He no more accepts what I say than the other way around. He's equally dismissive. It's just incredibly tiresome being accused of "not accepting his view". What's your view RaB? |
I've seen enough on here to know that both you and Dave are great contributors that needn't resort to petty squabbling. By and large we all share the same passion, even if we have very different ideas on how the club should achieve its goals. Whether we agree or not is irrelevant, what's important is that it gets us thinking. For example, I'll be the first to hold up my hands and admit I didn't agree with you earlier in the season about Onouha. Whilst I remain unconvinced he's a PL player I've slowly come to your way of thinking and now feel he should be in the current team ahead of Dunne. Unfortunately Harry doesn't agree with either of us but perhaps in time he'll come round. Hopefully not before it's too late!

Harry resolved the CB debate by playing all three against Blackpool. Simples.

Is anyone really surprised by the score tonight? on 10:33 - Apr 9 by Discodroid | ok dave, ive just read bonds and redknapps comment on newsnow...words fail me. right. im ready for the flak..i would love chris powell(been saying that for as long as i can remember) heres a man who had an imposible job under that loon at charlton i would love russell slade i would love kenny jackett i would love gary johnson. some one who would see this as the job ther've been waiting for all their life. THE JOB , They would crawl over broken glass to get to . a job seen as a huge step up. not another 'flashman' gracing us with their prescence . id get people like waddock/clive allen/ les ferdinand/bardsley/wilson back into the club in some capacity..coaching/youth/reserves/school kids. like i said mate, thats IF we want to go up. i dont see it as a big call because were not going to get relegated but were not going to gain promotion if we stay in a state of inertia as we currently are. a change now will increase our chances of said promotion to the promised land from zero % to 50% . in my humble opinion [Post edited 9 Apr 2014 10:42]

Agree with the sentiment about hiring a manager who would be honoured to take the job. However don't agree with some of your choices or the timing. Powell hasn't delivered at this level, regardless of the mitigating factors. Olly and Gregory helped the club punch above its weight under far more difficult circumstances than Charlton. Jackett is out of the question. Wolves are a big club on the brink of promotion. He won't leave them for QPR. Slade and Johnson are suited to the division below and their clubs. I'm not sure another barrow boy is what we need after Harry. I would prefer someone a little slicker than these 2 with a fresh take on the game. Someone in the mould of Roberto Martinez. Eddie Howe looks a decent prospect though there remains question marks about his commitment outside of Bournemouth.

We should have had a gamble and gone for Martinez when Hughes went, Throw money at him and say build a club for us. He might have turned us down but it would have been worth a phone call to find out

If we'd sacked Hughes after the City debacle like some advocated, and gone to Martinez with a blank cheque then personally I think he'd have been interested. He'd too smart to move midseason though. Arry was always going to be another carcrash appointment and many pointed out as much before he joined. The result of a crazy situation where the average fan knows more than the clubs CEO or chairman.
Is anyone really surprised by the score tonight? on 18:27 - Apr 9 with 838 views | terryb | I dislike Harry considerably & didn't want him appointed in the first place. However, I have taken the stance in the past few months that we wouldn't gain anything by replacing him until the end of the season. I have now changed that view due to the continuing appalling team selections & the players performances. We don't need to appoint a replacement for him till the summer. Let Steve Gallen be in charge for the end of the season. At least we may see the team play with some pride & that would give us a better chance in the play offs than continuing as at present. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Poor Steve Gallen, what's he done wrong, asking him to take charge of Harry's team now would be, well a mistake

Actually he played 4 - Dunne, Hill, Hughes and Onuoha with the latter as a as a marauding wing back. Genius Harry, bloody genius.
