Cardiff Fan Here on 12:09 - Oct 13 by ScoobyDoo | You chased yours out of town? If i remember correctly he put your club up for sale for a quid? Didn't take much chasing then? By the time we realised what Sam was up to we were too far in it, i am not trying to ridicule, just reminding you of the facts that you lot don't like being reminded of. |
I had to answer this, our club was up for sale for a quid because he had to get out of town quick. Petty and Lewis share one thing in common, neither feels safe showing their faces in Swansea. Hammam has managed to weasle his way back in. friends with Tan, back down the CCS. We can be proud that we fought hard for our club. And I believe that if someone like Tan came along and our board didn't think him the right person, they wouldn't sell. I'm not sure on this but I think something was said by HJ about being happy with the stadium being council owned because it kept predators at bay. Morally, ethically, financially and on the pitch, we are in a better place than you. Our stadium will be expanded, it's taking longer than most would like but it'll be done the right way. Not with another large chunk of debt added on. Our board are in it for the welfare of Swansea City, Tan is in it for the money.

Scoobs comes on here every day, just to be reminded that his club is a big pile of s**t and screamingly inferior to ours. I think you've given him his fix for today.

There won't be an official announcement anytime soon, certainly not today. Media weren't happy at being moved well away from the stadium, nobody would talk to them.

Cardiff Fan Here on 18:11 - Oct 14 with 1780 views | jandyt | The timing Tan has chosen to get rid of Moody is bizarre given their opponents for the next few games- Chelsea, Norwich away, us, Arsenal, Man Utd, Villa away. Given Cardiff have had a reasonably solid start, who in their right mind unsettle the coaching staff at this time? Oops, just answered my own question there- VT is as mad as the proverbial box of frogs!

But reminding us of our barren times is a common thing, what has it got to do with anything right now? We know our history, we know what went wrong and what we did to put it right. In fact, our recent history has been the boards motivation to do things properly. That is the only relevant thing about our barren past. And we have learned from it. You keep throwing it at us as if we should be more ashamed of it than you should be of how your club has behaved. The fact that we are now a model for several other clubs of how to do it, and your club are a prime example of how not to do it. We are both in the same league, playing the same opposition, but that is all we have in common. I find it extremely strange that Tan should be kicking up a fuss about spending when MM and his recruiter did a fantastic job landing Caulker and Medel and gave you a genuine chance of staying up. Sacking that recruiter is bizarre to say the least.

A long winded rant to say what? You have learned your lesson? Look we have an eccentric owner, that I can't deny. Who knows what's going to happen in the future, you lot thought we were going belly up 5 or 6 yrs ago? We may still, who knows. It's just the accountants on here that get me, where were you when your own club needed you.

Peope marched against Ridsdale. Trust refused to officially support it, preferring to keep lines of communication with the club open. That, and attacking Paul Guy via astatement reminding him of his duties as a director. The backstory to that was more interesting than their statement.

If your going to war you have to be United, that's cardiff's biggest problem. I honestly believe if what's happening at Cardiff happened at Swansea all hell would break out.

And again, getting City fans united would be akin to giving Ed Millband a personality. Nice in theory, but in practise... From the club statement today, think it's clear a lot of people recognised that problems occurred leading to the overspend in summer, steps have been taken to address them. Debunks the "painter buying players" rumours. All in all, probably the best result based upon that statement with an uneasy peace between Malky and the club at this point in time.

Cardiff Fan Here on 18:58 - Oct 15 with 1352 views | MattG | Does the statement "Tan Sri Vincent Tan has agreed to write off interest of approximately £5.8m on previous loans made to the club and stated that all future loans up to an aggregate value of £50m will also be interest free" equate in any way to the conversion of debt to equity? Nope, thought not. This was surely the perfect time for Tan to do what he's been threatening / promising to do for months but he didn't.
