Maybe I'm just simplistic but to me Tan tried to rip apart your history (Blue to Red) and you didn't unite behind the fight to stop it.
There's an interesting comment in the Trust book (shameless plug) about how Tony Petty's 'business model' when he came in was no different to that churned by so many people in the past at different clubs but the difference with Swansea was we weren't prepared to sit back and believe it, we fought for the club and told Petty he wasn't welcome - starting on this very site two days before he took over. And we united as a group of fans starting with the Trust and encompassing everyone. And look where it got us. |  | | |

It started with Sam though when the finances were a million miles from where you are at now. But you sucked it all up, then with Ridsdale and now this chap. You can make excuses all you like, the fact of the matter is, the majority of your lot where happy to take their shillings with no regard to what you were losing. It must be so very disappointing though to have had big money backers who never put their money where their mouths are. Tan has only lent money to Cardiff, and it does make me smile that those who were lording it over us because they thought he (or Sam etc) were going to just give the club billions because it is a sleeping giant to take over the football world are now the ones wailing and gnashing their teeth. Ah right my mistake, i must have imagined the millions Sam pumped into your club to try and reach the Premier League. All clubs were in a certain amount of debt, but he came along and started the road to where you are now.
It's that attitude that has got you where you are now. And why you will get zero sympathy from others, especially us. And yeah, you should have gone into admin, with hindsight dont you agree?

I said in another thread that Tan is either very shrewd, or, completely bonkers and very lucky. I believe it's the latter!!
I don't know what his grand plan is but surely he must have one?
Looking from the outside, IF MacKay goes then who will he put in charge. No decent manager will want to go there. Not with yes men and friends of the family getting top jobs.
it's all made Cardiff into an object of ridicule. And if this going over budget thing is right, then how was the money allowed to be spent and what will Tan do about it? Is he going to sell players in January to get his money back? Because doing that is more or less accepting relegation.
In what should be a fantastic season for Cardiff fans, Tan just keeps giving them things to be worried about.
Maybe all this is just an excuse to sell up. He'll be saying next Cardiff fans don't want him so he's off. But he'll rape the club first and sell it to whoever to get his money back. Or would he sell players then go down the same route as Hammam, saying the money spent was in the form of loans which are owed to another Tan owned company. He could sell off all the assets worth anything and then put the club into admin to get as much as he could from the dregs left behind.
One thing is for certain, Cardiff City has a habit of attracting "saviours" who are extremely bad for their club in particular and football in general.
On a side note, reddythered, you seem like a decent chap but maybe you should have taken sides when the chance was there. Sitting on the fence hasn't helped your club, indeed the jokes are coming thick and fast. | |
