I've just heard on way home from a stranger on the bus, who knows a player but wouldn't tell me who, that Coleman and our captain traded insults at half-time and it's been coming for weeks between the pair of them. Very sad indeed if true. I'm new on here but saddened and await confirmation. Anybody else heard anything? Some of the quotes were raw to say the least and apparently all of the team backed-up Jones and turned on Coleman. I fear that we're going nowhete fast with this useless scouse bully in charge.

The problem with this "team" is they all seem to think they know better than whoevers in charge and need a massive kick up through backside, i for one can't wait for JC to start ripping this squad to bits, this useless scouser has remarkably worked wonders in league football and is now suddenly a crap manager, get a grip

Coleman is a non-league manager at best. He was in his comfort zone at Accrington Stanley and kept them-up. He's not big enough for us. He's certainly not good enough for League 1.

Who was this mysterious stranger?
Is this a plot for the next series of Sherlock?
Who knows, but it's a first post alert!!!!!!
The Yellow bus i think.
I heard on the bus, that JLAA and widdowson were caught doin the dirty in the shower by Ashley Grimes, who then tried to join in, but as however rejected for skin colour to d*ck size ratio. Crazy world.
Leader of the little gang of immature cretins.

I presume you're happy with a non-league manager then? Well i'm certainly not!
Is this the same manager who brought Accrington up like 3 divisions into the football league, kept them in it for 6 years each season better positioned than the last. The same manager that helped them into reached the playoffs last season, providing saleable assets playing higher up the league, all on gates of around 1,300.. prick
Life is a game of fate.

Absolutely correct. No doubt he done a great job at Stanley, taking them from non-league to the top half of the 4th tier. Certain manager's are suited to certain football clubs. Coleman was part of the furniture at Stanley and as i've stated above - he was in his 'comfort zone'. He was the star of the show at a club that was punching above it's weight. Stanley are basically a non-league club that have over-achieved in recent years with one of the best non-league managers in the business - John Coleman. If he remains in charge at Spotland, I fear we'll be heading towards the Conference in around 12 months time.

Three problems
1. Rochdale, under Coleman, have played pub football. I saw them warming up for the Brentford away game (got there 60mins early) - they trained like a pub team.
2. Players obviously don't like the guy - easy to spot - no player making eye contact with him, no pre-match laughs, banter between him and the players. I suspect OP story is true.
3. Biased selection policy explains problem (2). Stupid to hire only ex-Accy or just scousers
Many on here are way too complacent. Rochdale under Coleman will finnish well below well managed div 2 teams like Morecambe. Relegation or Dale?

Although I have been far from impressed witht the team performances under Coleman he did come to the club at a bad time.
1. Team spirit was non-existant since Hill left. 2. Team fitness and warm ups were non-existant. 3. There are and have been all season too many cliques in the dressing room. (watch the warm up and see four or five different groups of players talking to each other and warming up separately). 4. There has been little time to bring in players who want to join a relegation dog fight on loan. Admittedly the players brought in have been varied in ability. 5. He has been here 15 games with someone else's squad nucleus.
As for next season I personally think we will finish in the lower reaches of league 2. This will be due to the manager building a team from then on which will take time to gel. Unfortunately one of the better qualities of the Hillcroft success is that they kept the nucleus / spine of the team quite constant for Dale terms. Eyre came in and had to build the team back up but chose the wrong players. Beech didn't have a clue and Coleman hasn't had the correct timing to do much.
On the face of it, I would say this is another mischievous load of claptrap. In any case 'half the players' won't even be here next season, so that's irrelevant with our fate already sealed. Some of them should have been 'on the bus' a long time ago.
Seems strange to me that Coleman has never dropped, substituted or replaced Jones at any time, yet here we have a story of them supposedly falling out in the dressing room.
If this were true, and Jones seems incapable (or unwilling) of carrying out the managers' instructions on the field of play, surely he'd find himself warming the bench, either during the game or at the start of the game ?
The sooner the season finishes, the better. Bring on Exeter for our next 3 points.

Interesting you make the point re. Pub team; somebody in the TDS reckoned that they 'knew somebody who knew somebody...' and Coleman isn't interested in any of these fancy new fangled scientific aspects of the game such as Diet, Sports psychology, etc etc, he is purely focused on good old fashioned football.

So we have Adams and Grimes who want out, then we have Jones having a go at the manager.. What next! My arguement is show your frustration on the opposition lads not within the club. At the end of the day if you dont like the person in charge the clubs suffers, i sugguestbthat you all take stock of the situation as the club are stirring certain relegation in the face as a player are happy about that! I wouldnt think so as long as you get paid who cares, well we do the supportes, when your career is long since over its us fans who are still on the terrace cheering and hoping for a win or promotion.. So pull your socks up knuck down and give the fans something to shout about or shipout and dont come back nobody is bigger than the club and that includes the entire squad, the management... Come saturday i fully expect jones to be stripped of his captaincy and hand it to kennedy....
My all time favourite Dale player Mr Lyndon Symmonds

there is no biased selection problem. Obviously his signings policy has seen him recruit a number of former Accy players, but in terms of picking them, they've probably been given less of a chance of anyone. Nobody could really say with any justification that Edwards and McConville have been given preferential treatment.
What I would say is that one of our biggest problems at the moment is the malaise that exists within the playing squad. I fully agree that there's no team spirit (look at Sheff United last night how they celebrated as a team). Sometimes I read too much into stuff, but even at the Chinese night last week, there were two separate tables of players with little mixing between the two.
I think our players have hidden behind the managerial problems this year. Given that for all intents and purposes we are on our fourth manager in less than a year, many people have rightly attached blame to the disastrous start to the season, but that leaves the players completely absolved from any blame, and as I said a couple of days ago, it perhaps says it all that they can raise their game for the derby games but revert to type for the bread and butter games.
I don't think we've seen the real Coleman yet. Knowing the position that we've been in, he's had to handle many of the players with kid gloves knowing that he may need to call upon them for a do or die game. As soon as relegation is confirmed, I think we'll see Coleman really get his feet under the table and I'd imagine a few players will have a few home truths told, and personally I've never looked forward to the day the retained list is released as much as I am doing this year.

His body language was certainly very poor yesterday.
I guess we will know in the next few monthss which players JC thinks are with him.
