Would have been more interesting if Ireland were awarded that clear penalty for that foul on Ferguson but as usual VAR did nothing to help matters . I suspect England would have pulled away and won easily with that level of talent. Basically their B/C team the future is so bright for the 3 Lions

I believe we've been promoted to Group A as a result, although I'm not sure if that means we win a trophy (probably not as Kane is in the team) of if we get an open top bus parade around London. Sequel will be us losing losing our Group A status under Touche and as a result, I can only assume there would be a trophy with that demotion that would be handed to, team captain, Harry Kane.

You don't win a trophy but it helps you get seeded for the World Cup and Euro qualifiers Top 2 of the top level go into a knockout tournament next summer with a trophy to win which would be nice to win one day I quite enjoy the Nations league, gives you games with something on it, more competitive than the qualifiers usually as well I thought England were decent again and good that so many new players got a game and a few of them took their chance well. Bellingham was really good again for England

Itโs really good isnโt it. Especially for teams like San Marino, Gibraltar, and Liechenstein who can actually build up morale from wins and draws against each other rather than just get demolished all the time.

Stupid booking though. Surely he knows by now that he is not allowed to talk to the official, as he is not the skipper. That would have ruled him out of a play off match. Now that we don't have that hurdle does the 'suspension' get quashed?
England ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ v Ivory Coast (Ireland) ๐จ๐ฎ on 10:24 - Nov 18 with 556 views | BrianMcCarthy | I thought England's B Team were excellent. Included a few players I'd never heard of and were still streets ahead of Ireland, who were much improved without showing much ambition. I turned off at half-time. I hate VAR games and if VAR's not going to give the penalty on Ferguson by Guehi, or even review it, then there's no point at all in its existence. And there's certainly no point in me wasting my time watching. Took the dog for a walk, channeling my inner Roy Keane.

Even as an England fan I agree that was at least worth a review. When you watched it in slow motion they are holding on to each other but you generally favour the attacker. Agree that the 'B' team seemed to work a lot harder than our 'A' team ever does. Obviously the game changes after the sending off and they are one down. Nice to see Manning on for Ireland though.

The ref guidance this year is that itโs not a foul if both players are holding. Solid first half defending from Ireland but if you are going to a game with the ambition of getting a 0-0 then you deserve to be battered as they were.

Yes that's something he needs to work on and he's clearly targeted by refs now but his overall play was so good at times, that cross for the 5th goal was brilliant

They did review it but as both players were puling shirts nothing was given They review everything on VAR but unlike the premier league they don't tend to stop the game for a few minutes when they do it
England ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ v Ivory Coast (Ireland) ๐จ๐ฎ on 13:35 - Nov 18 with 285 views | Paddyhoops | Fell asleep watching the first half . Entirely predictable after the sending off and penalty. Ireland could compete with England 20 years ago . However since England got thier s**t together with St Georgeโs park and Southgateโs input they have moved off into the distance. Ireland rely on players permanently in a purgatory of Championship and lower premier league players. England could have fielded a C team and still won comfortably. The defending by Ireland though was abysmal. Almost QPResque at times. Still at least I didnโt have to watch two ex Ireland internationals scoring against my lot. Small comforts.
England ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ v Ivory Coast (Ireland) ๐จ๐ฎ on 15:07 - Nov 18 with 166 views | TomS | The result was never in doubt. When the fourth best team in the world plays a competitive home match against a team ranked #63, there will only be one outcome. You could see from the body language of the Irish team after the first goal was conceded, that they had nothing left to give, especially with only 10 on the pitch. They had run themselves into the ground by that point. Changes could have been made then, but it wouldn't have changed the result. The question I'd be asking is how on earth did England end up playing in the second tier of the competition?
