Exactly why we need a Westminster Labour government - they won't stand for the performance we've seen in the Senedd for the last 14 years.
Do you honestly believe that ? Wales has been a social experiment one which will be now replicated elsewhere in the UK.Don't forget devolution of Wales has been in place longer than 14 years and its been a disaster for the majority of Wales since its inception.

Indeed.
The Senedd defenders who continually claim that its failure against basically every measure that matters over the past quarter century conveniently overlook that eleven years of that time was spent under a Westminster Labour Govt.
A job creation scheme for second rate politicians.

11 years that didn't happen, if you listen to some on here.
Looking at the exit poll I suspect that the plans for a second Scottish independence referendum will be going on the back burner for a while.

Sir John Curtice says the Labour vote has barely risen in England and fell in Wales. Labourβs win is thanks to Reform and the collapse of the SNP.

As I posted on the reform thread, times in Wales are changing.
Labour votes in Wales 487,636 last election 632,035 votes. Reform votes in Wales 223,018. Winning an election is all about winning seats, but this should be a stark warning to the Senned.

And a good one as well. π I genuinely believed the interest for change in the UK was worth more than thirty million people not bothering.
The results from by-elections over the last couple of years showed absolutely no enthusiasm for Labour. They were winning because the Tory vote was vanishing, not because theirs had grown. This has extrapolated UK wide. Not seen any "proper" turnout figures yet, but I'd still expect them to be on the low side.
There is an interesting quandry for the Tories now. They won big in 2019 by running on a fairly right wing message and promptly delivered on basically none of it whilst seeking to appease people who hate them anyway. This resulted in those who voted for them then then completely shunning them last night, either switching to Reform or not voting at all.
What happens next depends on who takes over as leader. They could probably take a big dump on Farage's parade by shifting back to the Right, but if they try to continue cwtching up with Labour in the middle they'll become an irrelevance.
Also worth noting the collapse of the SNP in Scotland. Single issue parties rarely make good Governments, and the Jocks seem to have finally wised up to that.

Some sore losers on here. The people have spoken. Accept it.
Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

In regard to your last paragraph, that sums up Reform doesnβt it?
Itβll be good to see Farage in parliament having to talk about all issues, not just one.

Absolutely. Shine a light on him and his party.
Smearing, sneering and trying to shut stuff like that down doesn't work. It gives him and his supporters an excuse to portray themselves as bullied. Daylight is and always has been the best disinfectant.

The desire to call him a racist just convinces people to have a deeper look and in many cases see that he isnβt.
Itβs the same every time, certain people and organisations see racist and fascists in every corner. They actually undermine what real fascism is by calling everyone out on it.
However, at the last time of looking I see the LibDem are nearing sixty seats and Reform have four. Thatβs my bet gone π
Odd thing is at that point Reform had nearly double the number of votes to the LibDem party. Seems a very unfair system.
A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

Completely agree with your second paragraph.
As I've said previously, trying to depict the Tory Govt as Fascist and Far Right when they were obviously nothing of the sort just cheapens the word and makes it easier for the real thing to gain traction.
Worth noting that very little of the opposite goes on. Some, but nothing on the same scale. Very rarely do you see Labour described as Communist or Far Left, which is why when the real thing emerges, like it did with Corbyn, it is roundly rejected by the electorate. The Socialist Worker candidate in Swansea West got just 337 votes.

I honestly think Farage's next campaign will be for PR - and I hope it's successful.

Do any of these fools do anything else ?
I think the real issue is ...to what level and that is what differentiates them. The Tories have predominantly exhibited outright sleaze and self-agrandisement. The rest, with some exceptions, haven't been as bad and that should alwys be taken into account instead of the bollix statement that " they are all the same". Some similarities, but not the same.
