Gary O'neil ... on 12:42 - Jun 19 with 5103 views | aston_hoop | Thats incredibly harsh, did a great job keeping that side up in amongst the mess other clubs made of that season. Hope they go down next year now. Whoever gets O'Neil are getting themselves a good manager, just hope its not Leeds!

Gary O'neil ... on 12:48 - Jun 19 with 5043 views | E15Hoop | Maybe Candleface Badknees is going back in there! Ideal for him, as he can get to have lunch at home with Sandra, play golf in the afternoon with all the other rich footballers in Sandbanks, and have a nice drink with them in the evenings as well, all whilst on a decent wedge and getting everyone else to do the work.
Gary O'neil ... on 12:55 - Jun 19 with 4998 views | johnhoop | More than a bit. With what he achieved with the resources he had there I’d have had him down as one of the managers of the season.

Gary O'neil ... on 13:15 - Jun 19 with 4804 views | Loyalitat | As each season passes, my love for this once great game wanes all the more. It's not just the predictability/lack of real competition, especially in the Premier League, but also decisions such as the one made by the "mighty" Bournemouth today. Unless he has been involved in something beyond the pale, this is totally unjust. I wouldn't be surprised if it's either Lampard or Gerrard as the new appointment. [Post edited 19 Jun 2023 13:17]

bournemouth having illusions of grandeur -- if we stay in the championship we will be welcoming them next year...

Gary O'neil ... on 13:25 - Jun 19 with 4716 views | terryb | This looks like an incredible decision. I expect that he will be in demand from many Championship clubs.
Gary O'neil ... on 13:41 - Jun 19 with 4612 views | Juzzie | Have they trotted out the worn out cliche of "he's taken us as far as he could go" without actually realising that was an achievement? [Post edited 19 Jun 2023 13:43]

Gary O'neil ... on 13:41 - Jun 19 with 4603 views | Benny_the_Ball | Incredibly harsh. He was being touted by some for manager of the season. The new American owner (who completed his takeover in December) clearly has other ideas for his 'franchise'. [Post edited 19 Jun 2023 13:52]

That would be incredible but not beyond belief. Gary did a great job there and was well liked by the players, which these days takes some doing. I always thought his style of football would be a good match for us but he's above us at the moment so I suspect he'll wait until a decent offer comes in because he obviously can handle players at that level.

Gary O'neil ... on 14:05 - Jun 19 with 4430 views | CamberleyR | Unbelievably harsh. Took the same players that tailor's dummy Parker said weren't good enough, picked them up after a 9-0 murdering at Anfield and ended up picking up 36 points from 34 games and stayed up reasonably comfortably in the end.
