Well first the good news Stephens won’t be available for at least 2 games, the other good news was luckily they had goalposts and crossbars or it would of been at least 3 more goals. Can’t see another win for quite a while sad to say.

The ratings used to be for both teams. Why can't we rate the other team's players any more? At least it was a little bit of fun to lighten the post match gloom.

Well,
I like RM- and want him to stay- seems a decent bloke
But I just cannot see a way forward for him. That was embarrassing- and it would be hard enough to win ANY game in the league , without the mistakes every week.
My feeling is he is just too nice. I don't feel anyone who produces one of these howlers worries what the gaffer thinks. It's all high fives and love.
I think that is exactly hat we needed when he arrived and the dressing room was all over the place- but there comes a point where a performance like that - (coming after identical mistakes the last home game ) are unacceptable.
I am comfortable with the idea we are probably we weakest squad in the league, and 17th was always a tough ask- but I want to see a bit more pragmatism- sometimes it got to go long.
This was the first week I though Russel is not going to survive-but if thats the case- it has to be now.

I sorry but who cares if RM is a decent bloke. That's just an example of how pathetic our fans are - so long as he's nice it doesn't matter that Saints are bottom and an embarrassment. He's useless and the writing has been on the wall for a long time now - enough is enough.

Awful! Started well but fell apart and gifted goals again. Stephen's ending off was disgraceful. What was he thinking of. As captain he should have been setting an example. Acted like a little girl in a school playground.

At the end I was glad it was only 5. Which is an absolutely ridiculous state of affairs

First half had strong echos of the 9-0 Leicester game, heavy rain, player sent off, had me very worried. Also very similar to the Liverpool game, all our good work was completely undermined by basic errors.

KWP, Fernandes, Manning and Wood were good, Lumley made mistakes but also pulled off some great saves. Stephens again makes us question what managers see in him.

Going straight back down with this daft style of play. Adapt quickly Russell or go.

Another absolute disgrace. RM has completely lost it. 6 defenders on the pitch at full time, Sugawara appearing as a striker at times. Get this clown out of our club. The players are good enough, the tactics are not, yet RM is the only one who can't see it. SR need to pay him off now from their own pockets, not club funds! Get Potter in.

Ridiculously easy for Chelsea - laughing all the way home up the M3, I bet. With a keeper playing his second PL game, Wood a debutant, Bree in for a rare start - it all called for a more pragmatic defensive approach. That didn’t happen, added to which Stephens! Provided no leadership at the back, then a silly sending off. Aribo, Manning, KWP and Fernandes all showed up, but we won’t get anywhere playing this, even against weaker teams than Chelsea.

Captain bringing the game into disrepute.

Rusty the Clown will play him again as soon as his ban is over, moron that he is.

Let's put it into perspective. We had 3 of our best four players suspended, our first and second choice keepers are both injured,3 more first choice picks injured and we played one of the top clubs in the country So what did we expect.?
In addition a man gets HIMSELF sent off My view is that he shoul never wear the armband again and unless we are desperate he shouldn't play again
It does unfortunately add fuel to the 'change owners, change manager etc "brigade Even if PEP took over we would not stay up so why not stay with someone who has fresh experience of getting promoted
I am disappointed because I thought signings like Diaz and Archer would give us goals and a chance of survival Sugawara and Fernandez have proved to be good signings and the retention of THB andRyan Fraser

I thought Cucurella was dead the way he went down so why no fuss about that the way there was when Diaz got a player sent off v Newcastle
Don't get me wrong I am not defending Stevens I'd be happy if he never played for us again

Lets be honest if we don't shoot ourselves in the foot VAR picks up the slack.
Its a pity because there were some good performances out there!
