Russia Iran and china have said if the west goes in to syria they will oppose it militarily.
The recent chemical attacks seem like a bit of a false flag to me. Why would Assad use them on his own people when he is winning the war against Al Qaeda ? It does nt make sense.
I think we could be fed the same rubbish like we was in Iraq,Afghanistan and Libya so we may go in and invade. Then the place would be turned over and left un governable with terrorist gangs in power fighting amongst themselves.
But this time will be different if there is opposition from the above.
Do you think the stage is potentially set for a world war?
Should we be worried if things got out of control there in the Middle East or maybe not?

Oldjack, WE sold him those chemical weapons to gas the Iranians. If we were actively encouraging them to gas foreigners then we should have realized that there were foreign elements (Shia and Kurds) living in his country who we knew he was suppressing to avoid the sectarian violence we see in Iraq today.
Assad has been accused of using Weapons of Mass Destruction (ie chemical weapons) against his own people just as they accused Saddam of possessing as an excuse just to start a war where countless thousands of civilians will die (far more than in any chemical attack) as well as getting our boys and girls blown to smithereens or coming home missing arms and legs , not to mention horrible psychological after effects such as PTSD which lead to addictions and quite often suicides.
Is this acceptable if war is based on a lie? Not in my book, mate.

Remember the vote in parliament was only defeated by 14 to not go to war. A narrow squeak indeed...had it gone through we would be there now fighting alongside Al Qaueda...a vote of yes by us would have emboldened the US and they would have got their war no problem.
So yes we are just as bad the war hawks in our government but we are lucky we won the vote or we could be in Ww3 right now...
