Doing some miles to build up for a walk along the GR5 route from Switzerland to Chamonix in Sept, going with the Mrs so only doing about 5 hrs a day,so she can go to spa in the afternoon and I can see how much bottle I have on the real steep long downhills! Gornergrat is brilliant for us Max take the bike up on the train and fly down! I will be on a full suspension for a change.

Went to Santorini a month ago, lovely people, found it a bit pricey so take plenty of euros. The sunset that the island is famous for is beautiful, but a Rossili sunset is hard to beat.

Went to Iceland in February with the wife for a long weekend in the snow. Currently lying on our bed in a hotel just outside Rome. Driving down to Pozzuoli which is just outside Naples today to meet up with friends I made last year while we were there with the swans.

Thanks Jill, it's our first visit to Santorini - staying in Kamari so away from the glam spots of Ola & Fira I believe :-)

| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

The Holiday thread on 15:50 - Jun 12 by Aquinas | Going on a two week cruise around northern Europe. Starting in Southampton then to Germany, Estonia, Russia, Finland, Sweden, Denmark. |
Did that last year. Guess German leg is Warnamunde ? Lovely town. However if they told you that you can have a day trip to Berlin don't believe them. It's 3 hours each way by train. Also if you haven't booked St. Petersburg trips with cruise line, book them independently. Much better value and get to see a lot more

The Holiday thread on 19:42 - Jun 12 by DDCH | I have been to Cuba on several occasions. It is a fantastic country unlike anywhere else on earth(it will be changing now the US are allowed there). The people are friendly, genuine and will treat you like a friend. I can not say enough about the country. I usually buy a few of £10 end of season swans shirts and send them out to Cuba via some Canadian friends, as they are poor but love their sports. Been doing it for about 8 seasons now, so if you have any unwanted old swans tops, take them, they will love them. If you do not have one of the best holidays you have ever had I will be surprised. |

Evidently not then ! Just someone I know who like yourself has been to Cuba several times and raves about it
The Holiday thread on 10:39 - Jun 13 with 1272 views | DDCH | Ah right, it is hard not to be bitten by the Cuba vibe. It is where I would go every year but I now have a little one, and long haul is out of the question for now. Our favourite hotel is Paradisus rio de oro in Holguin, but it is adults only so no chance of going back there for a long time.

Moon Palace Cancun is class. Combines the adult needs and childrens needs seamlessly Luxury hotel, fifteen restaurants over 4 linked hotels. Flowrider, free childrens arcade (with X box, etc) Best holiday we have had without a doubt. Also offer $2500 resort spend for 12 nights plus stay. Defo worth a look
