Mawson to West Ham on 15:53 - Jul 28 by Kennedy | Maguire was sold for £17m last season by a relegated Hull. So anything around £20-25m take it. And make sure there is a decent sell on clause in there and get a CM in asap. |
We should have invested in Harry, rather than throw away the same amount on Clucas *No doubt we'd be selling Maguire for a small profit though rather than the deal Leicester are going to get [Post edited 28 Jul 2018 16:35]

Mawson to West Ham on 12:34 - Jul 28 by icecoldjack | That means it will probably be done with minutes to spear on deadline day leaving us 35 secs. to sign some players. |
Just transfer him to the team that plays all of it up front

Mawson to West Ham on 11:11 - Jul 29 with 2896 views | Al_Bundy | A bidding war for Mawson will hamper us further and can drag out until the last day of the window. We need players in now not September that's if we do re-invest of course.

Looks like Clucas and Boney won't be going anywhere (injuries are holding back possible moves) and it is possible they won't feature for us for quite a while. Andre & Jordan Ayew (contracts still with us). That's more than £50 million we are having to write off as things stand (plus wages). WhileI would wavelet Mawson leave for anything north of £15 million I can understand the need to maximise the profit in order to offset the loses (same for Fernandez).

Mawson to West Ham on 14:06 - Jul 30 by Badlands | Sounds about right - hopefully this will go through quickly and without a hitch. Other players about to leave according to Sky 'Kyle Naughton, Pablo Hernandez and Jordan Ayew also face uncertain futures at the Swans with less than two weeks left of the transfer window.' |
I expect Barnsley have a pretty hefty sell on clause as well, so there'll probably be a sizable wedge of Mawson's transfer money gone even before our hedge fund friends can get their hands on it.

Get real. We are not and never have been a dream for hedge fund owners which is why this was the only consortium interested in buying controlling shares.

No need to worry about that Shakes he’ll be going for £30million. E20 said so.

He has said £45-60 million in the past. £30 million is merely the most recent number he has pulled out.

So you don't believe Barnsley have a sell on clause for Mawson ? And you believe the our hedge fund consortium are not in it for profit ? With respect, I think it's you that needs to get real.

I said “where?”, it was not a denial. I can’t remember saying it, is be interested in a quote to see what I actually said. You have a habit of getting what people say horrifically wrong. It is, and always has been my opinion, that we should be looking at around £20m-£30m. If I was pushed I think I would have settled on £25m. Not a bad guess at all it seems.

I could have sworn you mentioned something about Spurs and another team and us getting 30 plus million for him.

Well I have just typed it into the search history and it came up empty. I think you are thinking of someone else, although it isn’t a million miles from my opinion anyway. £25m is about right for my money. A bit less of relegated, a bit more if not. Pretty sensible guess I’d have thought.

Oh ok then. Bye. so what exactly has changed? by jacksfullaces 24 May 2018 21:42appears a new young/hungry manager has been signed (in the image of 1-2 predecessors that worked (martinez/rodgers, along with 1-2 that didn't monk/clement) accepting the latter didn't commit to swansealona footie but you know what I mean
players already being signed, this lad from Liverpool, linked with 1-2 others
no statement from the board, other than some vague apology that wasn't really an apology
and jenkins, dineen et al continuing like business as usual
and not much the fans can do, with the trust in theory our only line into the decision makers, but with no line into the decision makers
and lots of anger on this board and among the fans.
anyone else just a little bit frustrated that both a club we care about, and a customer focused business has essentially been allowed to pretend nothing has really happened.
where is the accountability? where?????
cool and calm is great if it hadn't been 3/4 years of decline, it's way past a tweak here or there, that was what jenkins had promised every time after recent failures.
talk about disconnecting with the fan base ...

It is a stroke of extreme good fortune for Dim that this site features arguably the worst search functionality ever seen on the internet. In fact it is so appallingly bad that it somehow manages to completely screw up Google, to the extent that the advanced search says "Mawson" has never been discussed on this site: https://www.google.co.uk/search?as_q=Mawson&as_epq=&as_oq=&as_eq=&as_nlo=&as_nhi
