One of my kids loves tuna and peanut butter sarnies. Yes, really. Not too bad imo but not something I'd choose to have.
Worst thing was back in my teens (when I liked the odd spliff or two) and we'd randomly grab tins out of the cupboard. Peaches & baked beans, custard and tinned spuds, ravioli and prunes, etc all had to be endured.
Edit: That doesn't fit the "Surprisingly Awful" criteria at all does it?

I once put some nutella spread on a muffin. Terrible idea. I nearly choked to death.
Good combination: Pizza and doner meat. That's a thing up here in the North. Weird f**kers put kebab shit on a pizza. Totally works though. Is like the best topping.

What is it with people in the north of England and food? Chips and gravy was a staple thing, but that combination is as grotesque as salad and gravy, again probably a northern quirk. But go further north and venture into the land of Nicola Sturgeon and you will find culinary nightmares enough to make the most hardened northern Englishman reach for a vomit bowl. .

Peanut Butter on toast with a side of really strong coffee is rather delightful imo. Then again that could simply be because my taste palette has grown accustomed to taking coffee with just about anything.
A rather horrid combination would have to be bacon and nutella. A friend of mine talked me into trying it once and it just wasn't for me

Meat and fruit is a must, pork with apple is a must, venison with a berry jus, you cannot beat, turkey with cranberry, the list goes on. Anchovies on Pizza is good, but the missus reckons banana on pizza is a must. Classless cow!

Reminds me of that ad about 25 years for Pizza Hut (I think). Bloke phones up for a take away delivery and the bloke in the pizza place says 'tuna fish and BANANA? ' Then you see the pizza being eaten by a pregnant woman. So I started making the same pizza. It was sensational. I also love fruit in curry like pineapple, banana , lychees....
