Guidolin - how do you rate him ? 05:10 - Sep 18 with 6056 views | Loyal | He clearly doesn't have a development policy nor a transfer strategy, that's what the club do. So that leaves us with his tactical ability, motivation and coaching as we see it on a matchday. For me he is tactically niave at times but does display an ability to change thugs quickly when they are going wrong. I like him as a person from what I can gauge, and enjoy his increased understanding of English. I think he is average but average this season may well be best for us all round. Will he last the season ? I would say not.

Guidolin - how do you rate him ? on 10:00 - Sep 18 with 1474 views | Brynmill_Jack | To the OP - he's clearly not allowed a transfer of development policy. He should have both. As for the original question - I rate him a good 7 out of 10. Him and Curt kept us up last year and he brought on Mo and Jeff leaps and bounds. A likeable man but oh so maligned by some of his own supporters!

Guidolin - how do you rate him ? on 09:52 - Sep 18 by raynor94 | That's the one, when we reverted to a flat back four and looked far more comfortable, my opinion if we go with the three this afternoon we could be in trouble, time will tell |
If he picks the same team that started last week with Taylor and Naughton as the bloody 'wing backs' he's off his chump. I had high hopes after seeing us begin to develop an exciting and coherent looking pattern of play at the end of last season. It seems to have since been abandoned or forgotten. Jury's out in my opinion until Baston is in the team and/or Llorente gets up and running. They won't make any difference if we can't get some players nearer them and create something mind. We need a spark from somewhere; hopefully last week's excitement has provided it. Today is a hell of a test in a 'bread and butter' rather than a high profile game.

The point is he made an error, he recognized it and he changed it and it worked. It may have worked if we could have played Mawson instead of Taylor and put Kingsley as WB. It could work today but I suspect he will revert to 4-5-1 , hopefully put Borja up front with Llorente if we go behind at some latter stage

We desperately needed creativity in with Chadli or Ziyech . We signed neither but that's not Guidolin's fault.

Guidolin - how do you rate him ? on 10:23 - Sep 18 with 1445 views | Scotia | As long as he is our manager he has my support. But I wish he wasn't. I think he's getting a lot of undeserved credit to be honest. Positives - Fer, Kingsley, Barrow, West Ham away, changing things against Chelsea, obviously learning English (I think Kingsley and barrow could have been used more) Negatives - The team that started against Chelsea, most performances last season (not results), 2 and half performances this season, lack of transfer activity, bonkers tactics, insane substitutions, doesn't seem to motivate players, boring football. I have a lot of respect for him as a person from what I can see and perhaps he has been let down by the players available to him, but when I think every Swans fan could see obvious tactical improvements he's got to take his fair share of blame. Lets see what he comes up with today.

Guidolin - how do you rate him ? on 09:05 - Sep 18 by pencoedjack | You probably know better than me but you believe there is no discussion between Jenkins and the manager (whoever that may be) about transfer targets ? Find that hard to believe |
There is - but Guido is on record stating it's about what he needs ( qualities ) and where ( position ) - not who ...

Guidolin - how do you rate him ? on 11:02 - Sep 18 with 1363 views | Starsky | Guidolin? Pros... A gentleman, calming influence particularly when addressing the media. A better prospect than hiring some of the usual merry go round managers being employed and sacked in the a Premier League. Just needs to find his best line up and a scoring forward to bring back some feel good times. Cons... Not coming accross as pationate, still seems a little naive when setting up his teams and tactics. I hate listening to his interviews, I just want to blurt out the words to the TV myself while he's still trying to pronounce it himself. He is 'Appy' with anything that turncoat Jenkins does behind his back, like transfers. Conclusion ... I'm 'Appy' for Guido to have a go this season, hopefully our new injured star signing could be the catalyst to start the ball rolling, because Lloriente, at the moment isn't.

Couldn't agree more and let's hope we get something today too. I thought he was very brave to start the way he did last Sunday mind and I thought the way he changed it and the fact we came out with an outstanding point was magnificent. Just for the record I haven't been the one slagging him (or players) off since last Sunday because I appreciate the league we are in and how difficult it is to compete with teams like Chelsea. Mr Guidolin currently has my 100% support.

A calming influence? I felt like passing him a valium through the tv at his post match bbc/sky chat. I also don't understand why he doesn't learn the english phrase "sorry i don't understand can you rephrase the question". Instead he starts babbling in italian.

Your last sentence - Llorente isn't doing it because he's getting no service. If I can see that then I'm sure Guidolin can. Question is , what's he going to do about it?

Don't disagree with you there D. What are the players going to do about it as well? My worry is that Fer seems to be lapping up the crumbs of service that he should be making himself involved in. The goal against Burnley being the prime example.

He's not bring Montero on much this season. Literally. I'm disappointed in him tbh. My own stupid fault as based on his past in Italy I thought we'd unearthed a tactical gem and motivator who would have us playing high-tempo attacking football in no time. We're better than we were, but his impact is less than I'd hoped. What we don't know though is how much of that is down to having his wings clipped by the club.

It's not the manager. Our players are awful. It's not nice singling out players but how the f*ck is Jack Cork captaining a side in the premier league, he is absolutely abysmal. No good sacking managers I'm sorry, the recruitment policy is a joke, since Laudrup went we have weakened the squad pretty much every window. Jenkins has got to go.

Guidolin - how do you rate him ? on 16:09 - Sep 18 with 967 views | Scotia | So far another appalling Guido inspired performance. It's heading towards 50% crap under him. Hands tied a little by kingsley injury but made other changes too late. Let's see if he learns for the rest of his tenure. He can't blame the "club" he is in the club, he's consistently said he's appy with his players. Worst manager since kusack, but an honourable man.

The players we have are better than that utter crud display. That's what's frustrating. Being shit with shit players is one thing. Today was another. Also we have lost every single thing that made this club special. We are now just a scrubby little bottom end club waiting for the trapdoor to open, like Wigan before us. It's just a matter of which season it'll finally happen and the luck runs out or there aren't three worse teams. On that display I can't imagine three worse teams. Over-reaction again? Maybe, but that's my gut reaction.
