It wasn’t for the want of trying that the Swans tried and tried again to at least score a goal in their latest fixture at home to Millwall. The game ended in a 1-0 loss in disastrous style, hijacked by the visitors in the ninetieth minute of the game. That said, by that time the game should have been way beyond the Lions. After the game Williams was apologetic, and we could feel his pain, we all went through it. “I’m fed up with not being able to give you answers. I am fed up with not being able to give the fans what they deserve. I really like the group of players a lot, I really do, and I need to support them”

The Jack Army were vociferous throughout the game, loud and continually cheering on their team. Around two hundred and fifty visiting fans were drowned out. Luke responded, “I am with them, I am completely with them. (referring to loud booing on the final whistle) I haven’t got a single negative thing to say about the fans’ reaction, far from it.” He is right of course, over fifteen thousand Swans fans were there and were remarkable in their support. “But yeah, it’s a difficult situation because there doesn’t seem to be a huge amount wrong but there’s a lot wrong at the same time if that makes sense. There is disappointment, not because we have been outplayed, but because we had eighteen shots and barely conceded a shot against us. If we got hammered or couldn’t get a foothold in the game, that would be a different set of emotions. It’s more frustration because we are so close.”
