Swansea City v Leeds United : Cabango, Darling, Roberts & injury news
Friday, 22nd Nov 2024 18:23 by Liam Walters

The Swans are back in action at the Swansea.com this coming Sunday when they take on Leeds United (KO:3pm) And Luke Williams adding on to our report yesterday is keen to see what comes out of the current negotiations with Ben Cabango and Harry Darling. We expect these to be finalised come the first week of December.

However, we genuinely believe if the terms are not acceptable then there’s always going to be more squeezing space.

Report—> ⚽️ Cabango & Darling

That aside, Luke has made mention of the state of play and confirmed our recent reports on their agents and work going on away from the players. "So when there is a void of information, you fill the void yourself. I don’t know but I'd be amazed if there hasn’t been contact between their agents and other clubs” Well, he’s been in football long enough to know that’s been going on since the summer, and as we stated yesterday - tirelessly as well. No agent would be doing their job properly if a vast array of clubs and their own representatives haven’t had dialogue. This isn’t contrary to FA rules, we have reported in the past that agents talk to agents, and many represent clubs and players.

It’s inevitable.

It’s time now to put this pair to one side. Connor Roberts has sent out a ‘come and get me’ call to the Swans after the season ends. The same applies to him and Omni Sports, we rarely follow players or agents on social media they won’t give anything away, and trust is only built by what you do not what you say. On Connor all we know is that the current salary scale at the Swans won’t tempt him, but with a few new brooms that can change quickly. At twenty nine he’s definitely fitting the bill, and if he does manage to secure a three year contract at Swansea next summer he will be a huge benefit for the next campaign.

⚽️ News Extra : Numerous Swansea old boys will be at the Swansea.com this Sunday, and we hope they have a thoroughly miserable time. Dan James being one. Talking on the game ahead he said, "I've got a lot of respect for Swansea. They picked me up when I was a scholar and I had great times there. I went from a boy to a man there, the years from sixteen to twenty one are the most important and really define who you are as a player but also a person. I made great friends there, I owe the academy staff a lot." However, on scoring Dan was a bit more cautious, “If I did score it would be hard for me to celebrate but obviously inside you're buzzing. I haven't been there for a long time, but I still respect the club a lot and what they do."

Well, the Swans have to stop that attitude from the off.

Joe Rodon has been the mainstay for Leeds United and Wales this season. He has definitely matured into the player everyone thought he was when he was at Swansea City.

⚽️ Injury news : On Sunday the Swans will be without a few players, the main omissions for the game are Ollie Cooper and Eom. Liam Cullen, Joe Allen and Ben Cabango returning to the Swans on Wednesday afternoon unscathed after their Narions League success. Ollie Cooper should be around for next years World Cup qualifiers. Daniel Farke has Ethan Ampadu and Ilia Gruev out for sure. Isaac Schmidt Is also out for a while with a hernia issue. Sam Byram should remain as first choice left back. Swans old boy Joel Piroe is fit. Last season Leeds beat the Swans easily over two league games as they went on to the Championship play off final before succumbing to Southampton.

The Swans have won one and drawn one of the last six fixtures between the clubs and will go into this clash very much the underdogs. More on this fixture tomorrow.
