Eric Ramsay : Casemiro praise & could Dennis Lawrence return to Swansea ? Wednesday, 19th Feb 2025 21:33 by Liam Walters & Keith Haynes We featured Eric Ramsay some fourteen months or so ago when the Swans were linked with him back at the start of December 2023. When he moved right into one of the top runners for the Swans job we republished the feature again at the end of that month. As a build up to our report in the manager chase that Swansea City are undertaking since sacking Luke Williams we have that report published again. Remember this was before the appointment of Luke Williams, around about a week before. But it gives Swans fans that extra detail that isn’t available elsewhere on the man and his football principles. Ramsay was a youth coach at the Swans when the club were in the Premier League, so, is it now the time for him to test himself in the Championship ? ⚽️ Ramsay Swans Indy report 2023 Since this report Ramsay has been head coach at Minnesota United and earning plaudits. His sides score goals but also concede them. They are currently sitting sixth in the MLS western conference and enjoying the ride with Eric at the helm. Minnesota have Ramsay on what is described as a ‘multi year contract’ and he will almost certainly want his staff with him. Dennis Lawrence who made some eighty appearances for the Swans will surely be one, New Zealander, Cameron Knowles another. Eric is fluent in Welsh, French, Spanish and of course English. His son is called Jac ! The ex Llanfyllin High School pupil has an opportunity for sure but the cash involved for the Swans is pretty eye watering. Eric is described as Welsh in his profiles but was born in Shrewsbury / Oswestry. Despite the betting being so say suspended you can still get 2/1 odds in many places. Eric Ramsay hasn’t been head coach at Minnesota for a year yet, so it’s a big gamble for him and most certainly the club. ![]() Photographs : Swansea Independent Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
