Top Of The League - Lets Double Pompey's Attendance.

On Tuesday night Pompey had 12,102 at Fratton, can we double that against Watford.

With an average so far this season in the league of 24,033, it could be said that our home support is almost double that of our much loved neighbours from the east end of the M27, certainly that average isnt far off being twice that of their gate for the visit of Peterborough on Tuesday night a meagre 12, 102 going through the Fratton park turnstiles.

With the visit of Watford on Saturday Saints fans have the chance to score a few points over their Pompey counterparts, if 24,204 watch this game then we can quite rightly state that we have twice as many supporters, indeed if we could go a little further and get 24,900 through the turnstiles then their embarrasment would be furthered as we could say our home average i bigger than their last gat.

But doing this wont be easy, to be blunt our gates have steadily dropped from the 25,860 that watched leeds on the opening day, to the 22,155 that watched Birmingham City last time out.

So Saints supporters need to step up to the plate, to be blunt there are no excuses for this game, we are top of the league, its a 3pm Saturday kick off, we havent had a home game for two weeks and we havent got another one for another 2/1/2 weeks indeed we havent got another Saturday one for a month.

So if your reading this and havent got a ticket yet, nip down and buy one, if your going encourage your friends to come along, if your reading this on twitter re tweet it, lets keep pushing Saints on towards promotion and in doing so lets put one over Pompey along the way.

Will be there as ever but as you say 'to be blunt' with the unseasonally hot weather I fear some will find plenty of other things to do and Watford are not a good draw. 23K I reckon

I was surprised by the £27 price tag for a seat in the end when I purchased my ticket on Monday, is that standard price this season or are Watford classed as a "Gold" ticket team?

Its the standard price, there are no gold or silver games in the (not so) cheap seats
