Any update on this?
Someone made the point on here last week that Joe > Shelvey > Fer. A good example and one that can be used across the squad for some years.
Awhile ago someone else pointed out that the Michu signing and the subsequent press admiration made our chairman believe he had scouting superpowers; it's a good explanation as to why - with the very odd exception - all our business since Laudrup has been sh1t.
I remember attending a trust meeting in which Jenkins spoke to replacing the cornerstones Leon and Rangel. We got Cork and Naughton. Okay Cork worth a punt maybe but it wasn't long before it was obvious why he was Southampton's third choice, likewise Naughton at Spurs.
There was a time when I considered the fella a hero. Hubris eh. Now I don't want him anywhere near our transfer dealings. Huw, you blew it mate. |

Rob Phillips phone in on Saturday, a very enthusiastic Swans fan getting into a slightly heated one with Leighton about our potential. Said fan reckoned that if we had the capacity we could command an average gate of 35k, Leighton reckoned 30k.
However with only a few days to go there are still tickets available for our first home game of the season, so am I completely missing something or are they both bonkers? |

Thread | Trust Meeting - HJ on Guidolin

Apologies if this has been posted previously but if not I thought some would be interested in the following remarks from HJ on Fri night at the Trust meeting in London.
He said that he fancied that if Guidolin had been with us all season he fancied we'd be on 60 points. He also said that he'd been meeting with various "experts" (is how I think he described them but as I understood it he meant managers) some of whom felt that we basically have the squad we need.
So on the one hand I assumed he wants Guidolin to stay, on the other he's looking for alternatives anyway.
Could it be that the man himself doesn't want to stay with us? |

Since yesterday's game I've seen several mentions on here to there being a clique in the changing room who have been unsettling things for some time (since before Monk's "el clear out" of the Spanish players).
Ash specifically has been identified as an agent provocateur.
Is this based on any fact or substantial rumour? |

I appreciate there are more serious things to discuss and reflect on (amongst them the absolutely depressing fact that so few of our fans have bothered to support the Trust by being members), but as a distraction...
I've not seen a naming a shaming of those paid for their expertise, the professional pundits, who had us as guaranteed for the drop.
Any stand outs who now have a face-full of Swan egg? |

The lack of respect towards Garry on here is really quite sickening. Despite what's happened over the last few months the fella has been a terrific servant to the club.
He's a Jack, and he's one of ours. Some people on here need to take a good hard look at themselves. |

Two questions: I've not seen anyone comment on what sort of reception Gomis got from our fans yesterday - was it anything of note?
Also, in hindsight (wonderful thing it is) was getting rid of Canas a mistake? Of late it's apparent how desperately we're missing an in-form Leon, and although he was no match for the little man Canas was the only player of his type we had. |

Arriving late on Saturday I was legging it past the ticker office (around 2 mins after KO). There were a couple of extremely long queues containing some extremely vocal, disgruntled Jacks. Any one know what was going on? |
