Has the 13 games without a win been underplayed?

Seems to me most have forgotten this fact! Brighton at home was the last game we won and with five games to go I would say it's more than likely that we will go 18 games without a win. That must be some sort of record for a Blackpool side and if it were to go anything over 20 (i.e. next season) then Karl will know he's made a huge mistake backing Clark.

If there was ever a head of steam to remove Karl Oyston then it was a few weeks ago with text gate and the kids contracts but seems to me if that hasn't lead to his departure then nothing will. Good try lads but we're stuck with the buffoon!

Yes it was 6-1 and yes we were completely outclassed by similarly we've had other bad defeats over the last few years - 4-1 at Derby springs to mind. There is undoubtedly a gulf between the top and the bottom and that's why one side will be in the Prem next season and one will be in League One.

However was it really any more than that? Clark got it wrong tactically, they were the best team I've seen at Bloomfield Road since the Prem years and we just weren't at the races. The Rotherham home game was always going to be the more important.

For the record we weren't relegated yesterday!

McMahon's Moment of Madness

Just looking at the table, what a difference now being on 14 points would make. OK we couldn't move off the bottom on goal difference but to have a chance of tying level with Wigan tomorrow would be such a boost. Sadly for McMahon - and am not surprised he was boo'ed last week - if we go down by a couple of points then he will have to live with that. You could say Ranger shouldn't have missed his pen earlier in the season (and OK that would only be worth an extra point) and if Perkins had cleared the ball against Bolton then we'd have had another two points there - the fact is though these were silly mistakes, what McMahon did was just inexcusable.

Everyone seems hugely optimistic

Just reading some Twitter comments this morning and feeling a general vibe, everyone seems to have a real belief that this will be a walk over today! Certainly hope we'll win but having seen us last week I didn't see the HUGE amount of improvement we need to go and win away from home. Anyone else not feeling this wave of optimism?
