It’s similar for holidays, some people will put their holiday money on a credit card, pay for it over the coming 12 months and then rinse and repeat the following year.
Nothing wrong with it as long as you can afford it.

Morning R.
Yep,it’s ok if you plan to pay it off in full. Otherwise the interest rates kill.
It deeply @ges me to see the commercial pressure on all, especially the less well off ,to “ enjoy Christmas, when wh@t it actually means is spending money you don’t have for presents people don’t really need.
It’s a habit ,a drug.
This year ,I have urged all family and friends ( I do have some) to buy me nothing at all and give the money to MND research . Some will still get me stuff I don’t need though as they feel they should buy @ present .
In many families, it might as well be exchanging cheques with each other .

Anyway,my daughter is doing a charity walk ( details on my Facebook) for MND

Notwithstanding everything, I hope you get what you want out of this time of the year

I've posted this before, my son does a bit of buying and selling in October and November to ' do Xmas for nothing' any spare money he gives to Shelter.

IMO the old adage applies

"In a free society, the State is the servant of the people—not the master."

Great stuff.
What this time of year must be like for homeless people,I dread to think.
Those who have suffered loss feel it more than anyone else.
Yet we still pile on the pressure .
Too many feel lonely
Christmas exacerbates this.
We should all remember this

It's quite easy to raise the funds according my son, he sells anything he does not use at home on the internet, I gave him some of my unused stuff this year. He works in IT and buys and sells a few bits of hardware and he's got into the trainer market this year. One pair of Nike trainers he brought for £60.00 sold for £150.00.

Mental really, most aren’t religious, it’s a just one day with a big roast chicken.
Load of biblical nonsense but most do stuff just for the kids….

And what has become most annoying this last 10-15 years is the oving forward of Christmas. Shops and homes putting decs up earlier and earlier, Christmas songs on the radio in bl00ming October. it's ruined Christmas, it's taken something that used to be special and made it yet another over commercialised borefest.
