They are playing a wait and see policy. That's what I was told yesterday and my mate is happy with it as he expected to be doing a lot more over the last couple of days. Even though the numbers have gone mental it appears that they are being more laissez faire than the unimportant test nations.

I believe this to be the case. He may be right, but equally he may be wrong we need to see the data. If in a couple of weeks people are dying in corridors, he and his government must be help to account.

If he’d shut things down for a few weeks, it’s likely businesses would have received some compensation, but as things stand they won’t - if people walk with their feet and stay in businesses won’t get any support.

No actual data to support Drakeford and Nicola decisions to shut down their economies which will result in lower revenues to pay for NHS and to catch up with backlog of urgent treatment that will cost lives in the future as well as ruining people quality of lives.
If Drakeford was concerned with lives he would have confined unvaccinated to their homes. This would have stopped them catching it, spreading it, get hospitalised and ending up on ICU.

Confined unvaccinated to their homes ? You do realise that would mean around 100,000 less staff for the nhs, no doubt less police, firefighters, power stations, oil refinery workers, lorry drivers and so on and so on. What would the consequences of that be ? Probably absolute chaos.

If we wanted to protect the young we would widen vaccination and bring better controls like ventilation to schools. You boast of super immune system as you are hyper fit and fork the less fortunate. You are so thick you don’t get what the issue is. Just like the Tory right. I’m alright Jack. That’s you Alright. Nasty

What’s wrong with people who are at risk isolating and let everyone who doesn’t want to isolate just get on with their lives. Yes I do look after my own health, what is wrong with that ?
People like you would be happy for restrictions/lockdowns to go on in perpetuity.

You prove my point. Let others suffer so I can lead my life. That’s the central tenet of fascism. Let’s see where we are in 10 days or so. And hope England does not need a lockdown by avoiding restrictions.

And what wrong with people wanting to live their lives ?
There are around 2610 people in hospital in the U.K. as a direct result of covid out of a population of 67 million.

Not if NHS workers go sick, and not to mention workers from other industries. Those with covid cannot go to work regardless of how much milder Omicron allegedly is. At 100k new cases every single day, it won't take long to hammer the workplaces and the economy

How are we going to catch up on NHS procedures if many NHS workers have gone off sick?Surely they deserve some protection as well from those who have covid.

Idiot, Wales has not produced any data of cases since Christmas eve of course their 7 day average had plummeted did they not teach you basics sums in school.

Wales figures published today shows 12737 cases a tenth of England's with only 5% of England population.

My prediction Wales 7 day rate will shoot up as they catch up with the backlog.
