Fulham postponed on January 3rd 2022 14:38 - Dec 30 with 1106 views | KeithHaynes | Official - Swansea City’s Championship fixture against Fulham has been postponed. The game had been due to take place on Monday, January 3 at 3pm at the Swansea.com Stadium. This is due to a considerable number of positive COVID-19 cases within the playing squad. The club has worked hard to try and ensure it would be able to fulfil the fixture, however, the amount of positive cases means the club do not have a sufficient amount of players available for selection.

Again agree but seems very few, if any, managers/coaches are going much beyond encouragement - might be a legal advice piece from the clubs or of course might be that they are reluctant to get jabbed. RM could have been more prescriptive in his comments on the jab although he may have been direct with the players, he seems to have no worries in telling them they won’t be playing for him.

Good riposte. Football as a business is craven by its refusal to punish clubs and countries who do racist abuse as an art form and get punished by a 10 grand fine . This attitude to jabbing another cop out . Football only has itself to blame for this disruption. It is staggering

Did I read right that the EFL are stopping testing players on the day to avoid matches being cancelled at short notice due to potential Covid positive results.

Definitely think he was more encouraging than most but not sure he could or would have gone that far, other than tongue in cheek type of comment. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

No idea but it's a mess. I keep saying we have not accepted this virus as the threat it is.

Swansea need to kick the rearranged matches deep into Spring to get crowds back and some cas h going through the tills. As someone pointed out this is a winter break by default.

The season may not get finished then! Players are younger, younger people are still reluctant to be vaccinated.
