Our players are physically weak. They get knocked off the ball easily, rarely win the second ball, fall over, some can’t get off the ground to head a ball. They make it easy for the opposition.
We have signed so many League 1 level players over the last few years that are poor.
That’s down to the recruitment team.

It does.ots embrssing really

A year ago, Luke had taken over and we were playing Bournemouth.

Not much has changed and I would propose he gets in an experienced coach to help in the dugout (and quickly!)

I agree on Eom. Very very weak.

Or we could cut out the middle man, get shot of Luke and replace him with an experienced coach.

We're seeing why his only job above League Two ended in the sack.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

No point in the high press if all your midfield cannot enforce the press, why because Grimce does not commit to it, given he is scared to press up as Southampton are using their pace to take Grimes out of the game that means they have numbers running through the middle finding the spaces between the midfielders leaving the defence struggling once they have got between the lines.

There’s a number of players in front of Grimes that’s being passed through so easily because we’re so slow in closing down so he’s seeing three red shirts running at him. Not sure what we expect from him. His job is to try and protect what’s behind him (good luck with that) not close down over the half way line.
The manager’s having a mare in my opinion; two full backs in central defence so I’ll drop in a new keeper, that will help won’t it!! Get advanced players to close down when they’re poor at it instead of sitting deep and closing space down and playing on the break. What a shambles, doesn’t he know how the opposition like to play. Shambles.

Grimes is the ultimate charlatan, how the hell he's conned so many managers.

Who sanctioned contracts for Naughton and Christie? Shocking decision.

Again why not try Abdulai in the middle for a change? Nothing against Jay Fulton but the game is lost so why not try him there? Southampton showing what happens when you put your trust in youth rather than just talk about it. LW out ASAP

There’s 10 players on the pitch who look clueless but it’s all Grimes fault is it?

He's terrible, our captain, our alleged talisman, our metronome. Stick up for him of you want, he's a huge part of our problem.

No team built around Matt Grimes will ever consistently play fast paced football. He can do it, but he doesn't. Him being the undroppable ever present, the conduit through which everything passes, is a major part of our problem.

Hiring managers who continue to allow him to do it is another.

Maybe, just maybe that’s all the budget/wages budget will run to and they’re working to their brief.
