Our bench is weak that's why we usually struggle in the second half.
It makes it worse when we have a couple of injuries to average players in eom and cooper. |

Williams proved ,TO ME,he is utterly wrong for us .
We have the talent to be top six YET his ludicrous team management and tactics hold us back
For the most part today,we were miles better, then he reverted to type and almost cost us the win.
Three players brought on at once when no need.
Branco is outstanding . The main man ,no question. Are you telling me he couldn’t have lasted ten mins longer ?

Today neatly demonstrated what some of us have been saying for a while. Tactical choices have been as much as, if not a bigger problem for us in recent games than the players. Injury forced Williams to do what he should have done ages ago.
Franco did more in that advanced role in one game than Cooper has in weeks. More intelligent running, more intelligent passing, neatly topped off by that through ball for Bianchini. There is absolutely no reason why he couldn't have been doing that job sooner. We had other midfield options. |  |

What was surprising and encouraging was Joe Allen s performance .
Quite why he was subbed when he was beats me ,as much as the other subs who didn’t help at all.
That was much better and it shows ,to me anyway,how much the coach is responsible .

Weak bench nanty.
Shame as a couple of decent championship players on the bench would keep the intensity up, wd would have at least 4 points or even more if we did.

We can't look ahead to other games. So many games this season late on we make changes and concede. Bristol city for example as soon as Franco went off it was carnage. As if the opposition think oh we haven't touched the ball for 60 minutes and now they taking championship players off and not replacing them. Unless the youngsters step up the bench and the first 11 needs quality signings in Jan. Well done to all players and manager and fans was a great win though and massively needed.
