The current issues between Harry Darling, Ben Cabango and Liam Cullen a good example. Even with a statement by Darling that he hasn’t had any discussions on a new deal - that was quickly dismissed by Swans head coach, Luke Williams. 1 This could be the straw which breaks the camel at the back, click above.

Swans players feel disrespected by their contract offers *Latest on 01:28 - Oct 29 by Robbie | Players wages at any level are a difficult find to check , online sites will speculate of course . If 10k per week is the going rate for good Championship players so be it , pay them that . Dalling and Cabango will run down their contracts and leave on a freebie to whoever . They as professional sportsmen will look for the best deal for themselves in their careers. Length of Contract will be added to the bigger picture . Potter got that wording right at Chelsea , 7 year contract and he is still living off it . Rodon , James , Piroe and Roberts all gone to better deals and proved assets to their clubs . Malcolm Struel alerted Tosh back in the very dark days , build a team to get to Division 1 . His ideas got us to the top table of football , glory days . Results , finances ownership and celebs spotted on camera in the crowd are the norm now. None of the new options brought in attacking wise have not impressed me so far either . We would only speculate on a players salary if they came from another published source. No agent will give you details, but some will indicate a ball park figure, they would never disclose bonuses or other financial information. Nor specific contract details to that player.

For once, it really is. I’m usually on the optimistic side. Only one place we are going if we start filling the squad with league one and league two players

At least double! Birmingham spent £10 mil on Jay Stansfield this season. They also have a plan and ambitions, rather than the rudderless ship we have become.

They are signing Championship players in league one. If we start signing league one players in the Championship they’ll quickly overtake us. Yes, you may get the odd Ashley Williams, but we aren’t going to be looking at promising league one players ready to step up, we’re going to be looking at bang average ones. Never thought Wrexham would overtake us. I thought the Championship would be their absolute ceiling. Only really since this summer and especially now had I considered relegation a realistic proposition in the next season or two.

What the Res doesn't seem to understand is that our recruitment model has moved from buying league one players and sometimes selling for a profit. We now source from abroad and these can be hit or miss as to whether they can adapt to championship football. We could possibly take a chance on one central defender but two would be insane. Of the recent defencive purchases from abroad how many play. We have a solid British back four and the imports are finding it difficult to displace them.

Do you trust that website? Do you believe everything it posts? It has been really unreliable and way off the mark. His contract may be running down but we don't know the situation there. We do know the situation here and if your suggestion is that Roberts will return, do you believe we will meet his wage requirements?

So are Salah and Van Dijk. They’ll probably get better offers too. Try looking at out of contract at mid sized league one clubs. That might be more realistic.

I gave the information and the source. It sometimes misses out on one year optional extensions the type Patterson got upset about. The reader can make their own assessments. The situation of Cabango and Darling are not unique. Roberts is a full experience international possibly worth £3-5m. This is the sort of player the club needs. Burnley have the same problem Swnsea have. [Post edited 29 Oct 19:26]

Andrew Coleman Edit - He would be foolish to not engage with Hodge on what other clubs are prepared to go to. He has many contacts. But Coleman has his hands tied by the financial constraints he himself has imposed regards profit and sustainability for 2026. And of course then there is Levien. This is once again a very tricky discussion based on the desire to save on a new contract that could have been signed in the summer. Anyone who thinks differently hasn’t been listening.

Only what he told me mate. Apparently a replacement for another ex Swansea player who is 34 in the summer. Bartley has a 12 month extension but will be used as cover. He seems pretty sure but obviously you know there are other interested parties.

Lots of different sources on line are reporting that Connor Roberts is in £30k per week and that he was in £14k per week when he left here several years ago. He’s 28/29 and should be at the peak of his career, I can’t see anyway he’ll come back.

Swansea have problems they maybe cannot solve. Cabango might want the same wage as Roberts his international team mate. . It i not possible for Swansea. Best to sell him in January if possible. No point in blaming the owners. Other teams want him but only for free. He therefore by reasoning is not that great and can be replaced.

More than likely as that's the football way of life. They don't pay a fee to the Swans. He can then get a better signing on fee and also higher wages spread over the contract term.
