Apparently it's going to cost us an extra £1.2 million to prepare the Senedd for the increased number of members.
Value for money?

It is 25 years ago. Globalization was on the march. The Welsh government was formed in may of that year and the second Severn bridge had been recently completed. Factories open and close.

Welsh people took a punt and put free trade with Europe at risk for little local benefit rejecting the recommendations of local MP s and the Senedd. They now have to live with the consequences.

So globalisation and businesses moving abroad has been happening for generations and has little to do with Brexit. You can't have it both ways.

The Brexit vote was 19 years after the devolution vote.

Factories open and close which is fine before brexit but after brexit it must be all about brexit?

Nothing is free, EU membership came with many strings.

25 years of Labour rule has crippled Wales, but sheep like you keep bleating on.

No major company is going to locate to Wales with our pathetic infrastructure

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game

Cardiff Bay have brought nothing to Swansea or surronding areas .

The WAG spin over Amazon locating in Jersey Marine was sickening , a tick box exercise .
They will up roots tomorrow for a better sweetner and rehire their staff elsewhere all on zero contracts as normal these days sadly .

Fadin Way Campus was financed by EU money in construction , we are out of it now .

Cardiff seems to thrive at all times though , no lack of investment up East it seems .

Mabe some of the soon to be 96 Members get off their butts and take a walk around some of our Town Centres , see what is really happening .

A cosy reclinging seat in front of a lap top whilst playing with your phone at the same time .

Got to love Politicians .

Jim was coming to Bridgend until Brexit happened. Jim was a Brexiteer and does whats best for Jim not for south Wales.

Bridgend were screwed not by Jim but by the voters of NPT who voted with good old Jim. It was terrible.

I am not sure what point you are making. Like Jim you enjoy putting the boot in on your own. If fits with the "we know what we are chants" and the pathetic SCST who's biggest beneficiary were lawyers from London.

I do not do self harm that is for dysfunctional people who end up in the gutter. The Ineos site was taken over by an American computer data bank firm creating 50 jobs.

Your posts on this thread are littered with anti English sentiments. You betray yourself yet again.

Business will do whaty is best for business and in a democracy the people should get what they vote for.

You're third paragraph is filled with irony, as well as deriding the English you also AGAIN put the boot into Welsh people too, no one else on this site puts the boot into Welsh people as much as you do.

Ineos got a better offer from France, an offer the Senedd quite probably couldn't match. Ineos took the money and ran just as plenty of other big compoanies have done, like LG.

You are correct, Businesses will do what's best for themselves regardless of the govt or peoples wishes. Tata, being an example, some trying to blame the govt for a business decision

Correct and if government over tax business they will move elsewhere. You have to have a pro business government to encourage investment and reward people who risk their money setting up and running business.

Unfortunately windfall taxes and increasing all other business taxes, as labour has done, leads to less jobs.

Ineos went because of Brexit. LG went because a Global recession.

It is a tough world.Welsh people have to fight for their interests not those from elsewhere.

In UK if people do not want something it is " too expensive" . Ant thing inside the M25 is fine. Cross rail the Monarchy House of Lords Olympics 2012, banking crisis bail out Heathrow terminal 5 . Any thing out side is " too expensive" HS2, Senedd, new Se ern rail tunnel Swansea team etc.

It just the way UK rumbles.

Yes the Swansea City deal includes large parts of West Wales and was mostly funded by Westminster, private companies and some funds from the Welsh Government. It pales into insignificance compared to the money poured into Cardiff.

The whole of the Swansea and West Wales deal is £1.1 billion while the Cardiff metro cost £1.2 billion on its own.

Another announcement just sneaked out by the Senedd. The number of homeless people reached a record high of 6447 people living in B&B and other temporary accommodation.

25 years of failure from the Senedd. If they had managed just to build 125 council house a year that would easily house the 6447 people.

The 14 bay Cardiff bus station cost £100M one tenth of the total budget of the Swansea and West Wales deal. To put it into comparison the Quadrant has 23 bays. Yes our money is pouring into Cardiff compared to the rest of Wales.

The "Cardiff Metro" extends all over South East Wales and up the valleys.

The name " West Wales" is a BBC invention and inaccurate if it means South West Wales. Bangor is in West Wales. I hate this sloppiness. It is sadly engrained.

I believe this "West Wales" was used to help non Welsh speaker use Dyfed which has a non English letter the Welsh F which is pronounced V

How many of those are drunks or on drugs and incapable of looking after themselves. "Get bladdered and get a council house" is that you plan.

Council house are better for coherent people with children.

The lost souls should be given a minimalist portacabin with a shared shower facilities and medical treatment.

I give my opinions. There are " homeless" people and " homeless people". Amongst the 6000 there are a range of scenarios. The state only has to provide warmth shelter and food and health services as an entitlement.

Most of those homeless people will be in temporary accomodation. The "drink and drugs" homeless live on the streets and not even 100% of them are alcy, druggy losers!
Some of thoise in temporary accomodation will there through no fault of their own. They are not all down and outs who only deserve the scorn you have just poured on them.

You are free to give your opinions but don't be offended when other people find your opinions to be nauseating.

I have pointed out that " the homeless" is not a unified group. Neither do all people from Neath think the same. Homeless ncludes families ( no 1, priority) alcoholics drug abusers people with psychological problems, single unemployed people etc.

I compare this with the unbelievably callous disregard for the people off Gaza some write on here.

In some countries there is no provision art all. 6000 people is seen in the UK as the fault of the Government or the system. This is fake. The cause is of society and tolerance and easy availability of tools of self harm.

The society must accept blame. I say provide cheap basic shelter with food and warm for single people who have dropped out. Not £150k homes. Common sense actually..
