Swansea City v Preston North End : Match day thread 17:26 - Aug 14 with 18346 views | ModeratorC | Mike Marsh returns as PNE caretaker boss, Luke returns with visions of the best Swans team this century. It’s all building up to another a game, of sorts. Luke makes a startling admission plus PNE match day build up 15th Aug 2024 13:21Luke Williams has made some bold statements in the light of the style of play Swansea offered against Gillingham in the League Cup on Tuesday night. And they seem a bit mystifying, especially as we haven’t really seen anything to encourage his side can play in a different way. 0 Swansea City : When you shoot you score. When you are positive you win 17th Aug 2024 18:11Swansea City dominated and won this game 3-0. The upshot is that Preston haven’t scored or won in their last seven league games. The crowd was down on last seasons eighteen thousand plus by some 4,500. That needs addressing but really with the style of football we saw today then they should be flocking back in droves now. 0 Swansea City : Luke faces up, new signing news & PNE highlights 18th Aug 2024 07:01Luke Williams displayed a really decent trait in his overall make up last evening when assessing the Swans performance in the 3-0 win over Preston North End. Undeniably honest he stated he and the squad had learned a lot from the Gillingham League Cup performance. 0

Swansea City v Preston North End : Match day thread on 17:28 - Aug 17 with 2427 views | onehunglow | Some good things tiday Eom shows he really can be a Triffic asset Donald has guts as well as skill For me Zan shows what can happen if you give a real striker a chance Criminally ignored against Gillinghamand benched today What a way to show Williams where it’s at I honestly think he can be very productive for us We need to look after him We need to keep him first Also,a word for Larry. Think he will be just fine for us. Just needs back up keeper . Hopefully,a start to getting the crowds back Preston will have a tough season

Swansea City v Preston North End : Match day thread on 17:39 - Aug 17 with 2337 views | Dr_Winston | If any game demonstrates how badly we still need to replace Paterson it was today. Loads of possession in the first half but the lack of creativity in the middle of the final third was criminal. We barely created a sniff at goal. Cooper was terrible. Second half Preston were forced to come out and we exploited the spaces better, but without the penalty we could have huffed and puffed for a while. Still a lot of work to do. Quite a few positives as well though. Franco didn't stand out but also made absolutely no mistakes. Kept things ticking over nicely. Grimes played more on the front foot than he has since early last season. Eom looks willing if a little bit keen to do too much, but hopefully those rough edges will get knocked off. Ronald was excellent. There seems like there could be the framework of something decent there with the right additions (and subtractions).

Swansea City v Preston North End : Match day thread on 18:08 - Aug 17 with 2080 views | Just_Dave | We looked a bit more attack minded today but still needed a penalty to break a poor PNE down. Midfield looked more forward thinking now the axis of Fulton Grimes is broken, that said we need an upgrade on Cooper. Liked the look of our new no9, Dr Robotnik as my son calls him. Grimes looked impressive today in my opinion. I do think we are a bit lightweight and will be bullied at times. Happy and concerned which is weird

Swansea City v Preston North End : Match day thread on 18:31 - Aug 17 with 1861 views | Boundy | I also enjoyed the game , first half started slowly but we then picked up the pace and PNE couldn't get near us for large portions of the first half ,I thought their full back did well keeping Roland fairly quiet and I thought he may have swopped wings to see if he could better affect the game . We played with more purpose going forward which was good to see. Regarding the penalty I thought the PNE thought the ball was going out of play as he appeared to be off the pitch so I can understand their complaining . Good penalty though and after that they seem to fall to pieces but we couldn't capitalise on they wayward passing and ill discipline. Second half although they had more attacking procession we seemed at times y to be in the right place at the right time , defensively a much better performance and Ronald totally tormented their defence and fair play Cooper linked up well with him. We starched the ply and kept going forward which as we all know gave us the rewards of 3 points . Well taken goal by our new No 9 topped off an already enjoyable afternoon .

Swansea City v Preston North End : Match day thread on 18:31 - Aug 17 with 1857 views | jackal | Excellent all round performance today. Quick attacking football, great possession play and putting the ball into the box. Grimes is so good when he plays forward.
Swansea City v Preston North End : Match day thread on 18:49 - Aug 17 with 1726 views | Dr_Winston | Also worth noting how integral the apparently complete shite Jay Fulton was to the move for Vipotnik's goal, which was a fantastic flowing move. Worth saying again. Individually they're both capable of a lot more than they are when consistently played together.

Swansea City v Preston North End : Match day thread on 19:06 - Aug 17 with 1589 views | onehunglow | My piece Pleas God,we have seen the end of the futile Grimes Fulton axis. Franco is the man Grimes forward is better than Grimes back We are ok with Larry Feed The Slove and he will deliver So feed him. Cuddle him and look after him. He can become huge . I feel it strongly as I see something about him. A better disciplined Mitrovic type. Ronald has guts without doubt and commitment to the cause . Love him

My mate mentioned the Mitrovic similarity. That would be nice but let's see what develops

There's going to be a few games we'll need a presence and someone who can hang on to the ball and get us up the pitch. Hope he's the guy
