Young goalkeeper chappie 10:01 - Oct 5 with 3496 views | onehunglow | Has to be the difference, really. Gloriously brave and decisive and defence seems to have more confidence now . To see a keeper take charge and not be afraid to boot the ball to safety rather than three yards to opponents is wonderful to behold . Cabango is showing now how badly mucked about he’s been for two seasons now His head has never dropped . [Post edited 5 Oct 2023 10:19]

Since Fabianski arguably. I don’t agree with much of the opening post. Fisher would have lumped it if those were his orders and he was in goal for a very good run at the end of last season. No doubt Rushworth is better though. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Fish doesn’t have the physical presence nor basic courage that Carl has . He is on another level. Sadly,we have been lumbered with Fish I’m hoping Brighton would sell him to us

Spot on. Much in common with basically every member of our back line, they all look a hell of a lot more comfortable the less complexity we try to add to the defensive setup. Fisher was just fine at the back end of last season. Darling and Cabango look a lot happier in a four. Even the much maligned Joel Latibeudiere is earning plaudits at Coventry because he's playing as a defender rather than a wingback.

The only way that would happen surely would be if the Swans went up ? He’s a class keeper and in the U21 England side albeit not first choice.

There seems to be many most would class as good keepers, be it good shot stoppers who seem comfortable in and commanding the air, and given the rule changes now need to be able to dribble like Lionel Messi but as in most areas of the pitch one of the most important thing would be communication leaving your teammates knowing what to expect from you and also being able to keep you informed of opposition players who get on your blind side. We saw last year that a change of defensive strategy made life easier for the team and keepers but this year Carl is a definite step up given the changes in the defensive especially through injury he has been steadfast in the quality in his goalkeeping, long may it continue, will he make the odd mistake of cause he will but he is one of our top players at the moment.

He is on another level to Woodman. WoodmN was hardly brilliant but a genius in comparison with russys first acquisition from MK . Let’s hope we never ever have anything again to do with that franchise. Chappie LOOKS in charge

He is 38 mind. Probably the best keeper we have had turn out for us. Not a slight on Rushworth as i think he is great, but Fab was on another level.
