FYI

Would that by the same French who's CAP shafted Welsh farmers?

The same Frrnch that vetoed the Uks Application to join the common market?

The French are no friends of The Uk.

What did De Gaulle have to say when the UK tried twice to enter the EEC ," Non " wasn't it , he vetoed us entering twice. Another history lesson for Kilkenny I see.

It seems the French are going to veto the trade deal between the EU and Australia which has taken three years to negotiate. Another example of why the slow lumbering EU can be held back when one of the 27 countries throws its toys out of the pram

This country gave De Gaulle a safe haven from which to launch a new free France then to go back and claim the credit after the Allies had done the job.

A bit like the US leaving Afghanistan?

Not the U.S. , the Biden administration. Which is full of commies like you.

The US left Indo China in 1975, Carter was still Governor of Georgia at that time, when the US withdrew the Gerald Ford was president after taking over from that bastion of honestly Nixon.

Talking of Biden, I am surprised no one has mention the Aukus agreement. Considering his alleged links to China (often referred to by some as a counter to Trump’s links to Russia) - it strikes me as a bit odd that a guy who is allegedly “connected” to the Chinese is actually initiating a pact to try and actually counter the Chinese influence in the Far East.

A lot of problems could probably have been avoided if the Allies hadn't let them ptetend that they recaptured Paris all by themselves.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

May have been proposed by Trump but Biden has been President for the last 8 months, he did not reverse it, change it or postpone it. So as Biden is President the buck stops with him. Not sure what this has to do with France though.

Trump did not just propose it he signed for it.He didn't even inform the Afghanistan govt or his allies. His admin negotiated with the Taliban directly. He negotiated with terrorists.

Are you too stupid to understand that what is controversial is the way BIDEN's commie puppet masters orchestrated the withdrawal and not withdrawal itself.
Withdrawal itself is popular in America.
The issue is deliberately doing it in the manner that Biden's Commie puppet masters chose too.

Withdrawal itself used to be popular with Commies, now they pretend the current mess is Trump's fault and the withdrawal should never have happened...after spending decades telling us that the West shouldn't be there in the first place.

Yes, The withdrawal was a mess, but that's the way America does it whoever is in power.

Still Biden could have changed the withdrawal plans, delayed it until Winter, stopped it altogether. A delay would have made evacuation a lot easier.

The buck stop with President Biden as he was in power.
