C4 Tory Leadership debate on 20:04 - Jun 16 with 1424 views | bluey_the_blue | Interesting to see what next round of voting brings. Suspect Stewart will be bottom. He's not really shown anything at all. Gove will almost certainly increase his votes, he's the one tonight for me who came across as a leader the most. Can see Raab votes dropping a fair bit after that.

Raab’s continued insistence that he can ignore parliament and leave with no deal just proves he’s an idiot but will play well with the Tory voter base. [Post edited 16 Jun 2019 20:07]

He’s just picked that ticket in the hope that there are enough hard Brexiteers in the party to say “yeah, go for it”. Hopefully, and I’m not that confident, there aren’t enough of them.

Stewart is the only one who is even remotely sensible. So you’re right. He probably will come bottom. I have a dog who would be a better PM than Raab. I stood next to Gove’s wife in a queue for bread a few weeks ago. The temptation to have a go was almost overwhelming.

I'm not sure about that, you know. As Lisa will confirm, I said I'd vote for Javid or Stewart. Stewart for me is way too flaky - the answer to the question of if he'd serve in a BoJo cabinet changes daily. The way he answered his "biggest weakness" question was poor - saying people more knowledgeable, intelligent, end to "macho" just made him come across as saying he's a thick wimp. The point of listening to experts in specific fields wasn't a bad one, he just articulated it badly. I'm waiting for Javid to shine. I don't think that day is going to come anytime soon which is a shame. Right now, there are two priorities. Brexit and beating Corbyn. Based upon both of those, I can't see the final two being anyone other than Gove and BoJo, sadly. My vote won't be for BoJo. [Post edited 16 Jun 2019 20:27]

You won’t get the chance to vote for either The Saj or Stewart. You’ll have to make a choice between Johnson and AN Other. Probably Hunt. It’s genuinely terrifying that you and people like you are the only ones with a say on who the next PM will be. [Post edited 16 Jun 2019 20:28]

If Noel Fielding was queuing up for bread rather than baking his own, I suspect there will be a frosty atmosphere on next series of Bake Off.

That’s the depressing part Bluey. Right now, as always, the priority should be what’s best for the country at large. It’s all that matters. There are huge swathes of this country genuinely struggling.

Thanks, I think. I'll take it as a compliment anyway. I'm aware I won't get the chance for either of those, since I mentioned that in my current assessment. As neither will get through, it's got to be firmly ABB so I'm guessing it'll be Gove. Do what he can re Brexit then smash Corbyn. All we can hope for right now.
