Instead, it is 6 points to 13th with an easy run of games this month.
I know fan forums are supposed to be the most extreme pessimists that exist but really, get a grip!
It's almost like everyone forgot: 3 minutes from winning at Everton, controlling the match against Palace and still having the spirit to come back and win.
You know how when an unfancied boxer beats the Champ and commentary goes "Only him, his trainers, and his family believed he'd win today, and I'm not sure about his family", well I'm almost sure some of you want the team to fail, if only to justify all of the moaning.

If anyone on here can convince me where the next wins are coming from I'll die a happy man. 9 goals conceded in 2 games. Wingers with no centre forwards. A 5-0 loss where we couldn't even force a goal f*cking kick out of the opposition. People celebrating a 5-4 HOME win like we've just gone 3 points clear at the top. I can respect optimism to a point, but I cannot accept blind faith in a team, manager and club who are clueless beyond description |  |

I'd normally agree with such a statement, bit it's wholly not applicable here, and one can only assume you are virtue signalling. "oh stop moaning, it's not that bad, look at me i'm not bothered by it".
We are rock bottom of the league, not 15th, not 17th teetering on the edge.....bottom. And we are rapidly approaching Christmas, I need not quote you the stats regarding what invariably happens to teams bottom at Christmas.
We have root and branch lost our playing identity, to the point where many, including myself are embarrassed to watch; so it's not like you can cling on the the "at least we are playing well" narrative. Let's couple that with the quite frankly toxic situation with regards to the 'old board' who still seem to be pulling many a string.
I'm not advocating mindless moaning and negativity, and Bob seems a decent chap who is unfortunately not up to it- and neither are many players. Acknowledging the state we are in, is not being pessimistic, it's being rational. If fans didn't whinge on here, there'd be no fun, and lets face it, it's why most of us join the forum. | | | |

Conceding 2.7 goals a game under Bob. Here's a brief comparison, although the low number of games means it's not statistically significant and I wouldn't read too much into it. The goals against column is the most damning as we're leaking pretty much every game. Goals for is skewed by the palace game, otherwise very similar. Points - again can't read too much into it and very little difference.
