‘Plymouth should look at ways to sign Jordon Garrick from Swansea’

He has been a relative success at Plymouth Argyle, the the fans at Home Park have taken to him in a big way. Jordon Garrick the Swansea loan man is not only scoring goals, he is doing it from a variety of positions. Now the local press and fans want Garrick permanently.

It seems it’s the season that Jordon Garrick has come of age. He has had loan experience in the past but being included in a match day squad in a successful team is inspiring him for sure. Signed from Ossett Albion in 2015 Garrick originally had his sights set on a rugby league career at Bradford Bulls until a chance trial at the swans saw him sign for the then premier league club.

A relatively comfortable loan spell last season at Swindon Town set Garrick up for this seasons success at Plymouth. Despite Swindon’s relegation it’s all a part of his football journey. The local newspaper ‘The Plymouth Herald’ has already stated "Garrick can change positions from one game to another, or even during them, and still prove to be very effective. He has the pace and power to play up front and his finishing has improved since earlier in the season, as demonstrated with his clinically-taken goal in the 2-0 Boxing Day win away to Cheltenham Town. That was the fifth time he had netted for the Pilgrims, which has come from a total of 14 starts and 13 substitute appearances. Garrick has shown the ability to play at either wing-back position as well but Joe Edwards has been in fine form recently and Conor Grant has had a good season too, so for the time being striker seems to be his number one role”

They have been encouraging Argyle for weeks now to make sure they don’t lose Garrick.

Garrick has no real local ties to Swansea, he is Jamaican born and was raised in Yorkshire, and as he said recently of his time at Plymouth "I'm just happy to be here. I'm loving football at the moment. I love playing men's football, learning new things. I like being in new environments, new places. I have only been here a few months now and it has taught me a lot. Even if I was to go back to Swansea in January I would be a better player than when I left but hopefully I can see the season out and we can go far, and see where this journey is going to take us."

So it seems that Garrick wants to see out the season with the pilgrims ?

Plymouth supporters are urging their club to seek out Garrick’s future at Swansea, as if there is a chance of him not being in Russell Martin’s plans then an offer should be made. Or at least sound out the swans as to the costs and a way to do so. Now twenty three Garrick like Liam Cullen who we featured yesterday needs a home and security at first team level. With Kyle Joseph at Cheltenham and Garrick at Plymouth, and indeed Whittaker on his way to Lincoln the young swans stars are scattered around the country. Hope fully they all reap their loan rewards be that permanent transfers or return to the swans better players.

Oli Cooper is another impressing at Newport County, however there’s a player who has found his feet and looks too valuable at this time to move on. The transfer window is only few days away and despite noises coming out of the club regards the pandemic, it is going to be an extremely busy time for Swansea City.

A point gained for the Swans : Allen isn’t dead Baggies !
Just over 14,600 attended this game at the Swansea.com. Take away the visitors support and around 13,000 Swans fans were allegedly at this game. Season ticket holders are always included whether there or not and the ground look very bare. If there was eleven thousand home fans at this game I would have been surprised. That’s a good few thousand who have stayed away this afternoon. And well down to what we could have expected on the last Saturday before the majority return to work on Monday.
Swansea City v West Bromwich Albion, plus Villa winger out of reach
This morning we focus on a game which has lost itself to what we can call ‘football fatigue’ Especially after some of the extraordinary fall out after Luke Williams press conference yesterday afternoon. Unbelievable nonsense on one of the other websites, faceless, nameless and very obsessive.

Swansea City : Does Luke know what he is doing to our club ?
There has been much comment and it has to be said bar a few abusive idiots on social media a lot of frustration on those platforms regards Harry Darling and Luke Williams. Much of this brought about by the reluctance of Luke Williams to just clarify his position at Swansea City.
