Beat The Bookie - Hull CIty

The Swans reach the halfway mark of the season this evening when they travel to Hull City for their last game before Christmas looking for a third consecutive win that will send them into the festive period in sight of the play off positions.

And Graham Potter will be hoping that his side will continue a good run in the tea time Saturday kick off slot that has already seen them record wins on the road at Sheffield United and Millwall this season.

It really has been a strange period for the Swans this season with 16 points secured out of the last 27 available, a run that also included three consecutive defeats (two of which we are home)

It did look for a stage last week as if we were about to lose three home league games for the first time ever at the Liberty but two goals in a minute switched that around and sent us into this fixture full of confidence on the back of consecutive wins.

Wayne Routledge has scored in both those wins and if you fancy him to make it three in three today then he can be backed at 8/1 to be first goalscorer (or last if you want that) and 13/5 to score at any time. It is true that we haven't lost in any game where Routledge has scored this season by the way....

Overall, Bet UK have Hull as slight favourites for the game at 8/5 with the Swans at 7/4 and the draw at 11/5 and the bookies clearly believe there will be goals in this game - if you believe otherwise then under 1.5 goals is available for your money at 12/5.

On that basis I have gone for the Swans to win but in a game where both teams score (our clean sheet record is not what it was!) and this can be available at 7/2, slightly longer odds than us to win to nil at 33/10.

Our record in these previews has never been good (I really apologise here for any losses) but the first goal in the game between 31 and 40 minutes at 6/1 looks good value to us as does the 15/4 that Joe Rodon gets booked (don't ask why this is just one of those gut feelings that probably will never be proved right)

That's just the pick of some of the odds that we have seen but you can see the full range of odds from the Swans official sponsors Bet UK by clicking this link
