Virgil Van Dijk Gives First Indication That His Future Lies At Saints

Virgil Van Dijk has appeared to confirm his St Mary's stay for the coming season, Arron Sanders reveals what seems to be VVW's first actual comment on the situation.

According to the twitter account of the reputable football associate Murray Groves Virgil Van Dijk has given an indication that he will still be at Southampton Football Club next season.

The Dutch defender when asked by a jounalist if he was staying with Saints this summer, answered with "a smile and a single nod."

Appearing to confirm the words of Vice Chairman Les Reed stand true, Van Dijk is currently the first team captain provides the club and fans with massive boost by confirming his immediate future to Saints.

There were rumours circling from Liverpool sources that Van Dijk could hand in a transfer request this week, however the latest instalment in the saga appears to shoot those down.

With some sort of clarity from the player himself now made, the fans can look ahead to who maybe partnering the Dutchman this season.

Could it be Either of Jack Stephens or Maya Yoshida given their impressive showings at the back end of last season? or will the club dip into the transfer market for a new starting centre back?
