Leeds United: Premier League defender linked with loan switch to Elland Road
According to HITC (feel free to cast doubt over the accuracy of the rumour), Premier League side Arsenal are willing to allow England Under-21 defender Rob Holding to leave the Emirates in January on a loan basis.
A report on HITC's website claims that Leeds, rivalled by Sheffield Wednesday and Aston Villa, are interested in bringing Holding, 21, to Elland Road in a January loan swoop.
The defender, who can function as a right-back in addition to his preferred central defensive role, joined the Gunners from recently relegated Bolton Wanderers in the summer for a sum to the tune of £2.5 million. Since his move, Holding has featured sporadically for Arsene Wenger's side, but the Frenchman is eager for his young prodigy to be farmed out on loan in order for him to garner useful experience by way of regular playing time.
In addition to United, Burnley and Hull City have been linked with moves for the defender, who prior to his summer switch had spent the entirety of his career contracted to Bolton, who presently languish in League One.
It is plausible that Wenger is keen for Holding to embark on the potentially enriching journey that a loan move may provide, but whether or not he'll opt for United is an entirely divergent question. After all, it is probable that should he move to Elland Road, he'd merely be little more than an auxiliary option to provide cover for the likes of Pontus Jansson, Kyle Bartley, and Luke Ayling, who have all been consistent performers with much regularity thus far this season.

Swansea City : Does Luke know what he is doing to our club ?There has been much comment and it has to be said bar a few abusive idiots on social media a lot of frustration on those platforms regards Harry Darling and Luke Williams. Honestly Luke do you really believe your PR ! Swans crash at Pompey If Swansea City could be any more unimaginative and weak in an away fixture this season it will signal that Luke Williams really hasn’t got the credentials to lead this Swansea team to anything other than complete mediocrity. The very fact he is being linked with West Bromwich Albion (it isn’t a rumour Luke, as you well know) tells us he has already lost heart in this Swansea side, and his reluctance to speak truthfully about it is an insult to Swansea fans.
Pompey v Swans : All your team news & Harry Darling speculation this morning Happy New Year to each and every one of you who have religiously supported the Indy this past year, thank you from all of us here. Swansea City visit Portsmouth today for a 3pm kick off at Fratton Park. Early news points towards Franco not being available with a bad dental injury and Jay Fulton more than likely starting the game.
Swansea City : Is Luke thinking this out ? ‘ Call my agent’ West Brom Swansea City head coach, Luke Williams is either not thinking through his responses to the latest news of West Bromwich Albion being linked to his services, or he’s asking them to come and get him. In any event his remarks post match after a 2-1 win against Luton Town are extremely questionable.
