Villa's Ayew Happy With Andre's Start

Jordan Ayew at Aston Villa may not have had the start to his Premier League career of his brother Andre but he couldn't be happier that his brother has hit the ground running with three goals in his first four Swans appearances.

Ayew Jnr joined Aston Villa for a fee of around £9m this summer meaning that he followed his brother to the Premier League with Andre having joined the Swans on a free transfer from Marseille.

And he has certainly adjusted to life in South Wales with goals against Chelsea, Newcastle and Manchester United and sharing the seven league goals the Swans have scored this season between him and Bafetimbi Gomis.

The two brothers will go head to head at Villa Park on October 24th but there is no real rivalry between the two with Jordan delighted for the start that his brother has made.

"Andre has done very well and I'm very, very proud and happy," said Jordan.

"It is not easy to come straight in and do well.

"But he has been at Swansea since July 1 so he has had longer to adjust and that makes it a bit easier for him.

"Me and the other new boys at Villa are still adapting ourselves to the Premier League.

"But given time, I am confident I will do very well for Aston Villa.

"When I speak to my brother on the phone we don't really talk about football

"We talk about family, life and other things. We were never really that competitive against each other as kids either - we just enjoyed playing football.

"Now we are both playing in the Premier League and it is a dream come true.

"Playing in the Premier League is the best thing in the world.

"The intensity of the game here is incredible. That's something I have really noticed."
