Home >Story Index> Day 17 In The Big Jack Brother House

08.06.03 - 6.12am - All the housemates are up early for the next event in their Olympics. The high jump. Leon Britton declares himself the early winner of the competition because his mother told him before he entered the BJB house 'Misbehave in there my son and you'll be for the high jump"
08.06.03 - 8.42am - John Williams wins the ten metre sprint aided by the fact that he had strategically placed a bed at the end of the ten metre course. Leon Britton and his small strides takes twenty five minutes to complete the course and comes in last.
08.06.03 - 9.13am - The housemates sit down to a heart breakfast of bacon, eggs and tinned carrots. Peter Owen comes to the diary room to demand that they are given labels back on tins as it is ruining his stable diet. Big Jack Brother points out that it is John Williams that usually lives in the stable.
08.06.03 - 11.22am - Time for the third weekly task to be delivered. The 10 remaining housemates are gathered on the sofa as Nick Rees heads to the diary room to pick up the instructions. This week the housemates are being tasked with having to design and build a model stadium on which the Morfa will be modelled. After a quick discussion they elect to gamble 43.2% of their weekly budget against the completion of this task in time. They must present their design in the Big Jack Brother House on Wednesday. They have been given any materials that they need to build this scale model.
08.06.03 - 12.12pm - The housemates have started work on the scale model. However, after just twenty minutes of discussion they put off the stadium for now and elect to make a further decision on it's progress at 06.06.
08.06.03 - 2.14pm - More events in the Olympics. Peter Owen wins the 'taking people for a ride' event with is entry 'Swans World' whilst John Hollins is the clear winner of the Kossack Dancing competition. Leigh Dineen, Peter Owen and Myra are tied in the pie eating competition when Bad Light stops play.
08.06.03 - 4.49pm - There is discussion in the house around the plans for the new stadium. Nick Rees is adamant that one of the stands should be named the 'Moscow Jack' stand whilst John Hollins wants one to be called the 'John Hollins Championship Stand' Peter Owen wants to call the stadium Swans World. It appears that there will be much discussion around this stadium but will it actually every get off the ground?
08.06.03 - 6.06pm - Peter Owen (spokesman for the house) is sent to the diary room to inform Big Jack Brother that the stadium building will now commence. He asks for four empty toilet rolls, fourteen old newspapers, three yoghurt pots and an airbed to allow them to build the foundations of the model. Big Jack Brother asks what the airbed is for. "For John Williams to sleep on" is the obvious reply.
08.06.03 - 7.12pm - Whilst Nick, Leigh and James Thomas are working hard on the foundations of the stadium, Leon Britton has been entrusted to draw the plans for the main construction work. He has been hard at work for an hour before Myra stops him to advise that he cannot have space to seat his teletubbies in the main stand nor is it really appropriate to have pictures of Rupert the Bear and Bob The Builder on the car park floor. Myra smacks Leon's bottom and sends him to bed without any supper.
08.06.03 - 9.02pm - The stadium foundations (out of paper mache) are well underway when disaster strikes. Jason Smith drops some on his foot and construction has to be put on hold. Will the stadium be ready for it's presentation on Wednesday at 20.05.
08.06.03 - 11.44pm - Constructing a stadium has clearly warn the housemates out and they all head to bed early. Tomorrow's plans include the building of the first stand in the stadium which will house the managers office, the board room and also Myra's personal hairdresser. John Hollins sneaks Leon Britton in three biscuits to save him going hungry.
