Whatever Happened To... Scott Fitzgerald
After spending the tail end of the 2003-04 season on loan at Brentford, Fitzgerald then joined the Bees on a permanent deal when he was released by the U's. The following season he made just 15 appearances and later retired from playing.
He remained at Griffin Park, taking on a role as youth team coach, and in December 2006 became manager of the first team following a short spell as caretaker boss. Brentford were relegated from League One having scored just 17 points in 25 games, which led to his contract being terminated after just four months in charge.
In July 2007 he joined Gillingham as youth team manager and months later rejoined Millwall in the same capacity. Four years on he is still at the Den as Head of Youth.
Clubs since leaving the U's: Brentford, Gillingham, Millwall.

Swansea City : The Luke saga drags on and on : What’s next today ? As the many thousands of views dictate on this website we continue to report matters of interest as we did yesterday morning on Luke Williams. A fairly concise and pertinent piece by our site owner. I suppose what every writer relies upon is for the reader to actually understand what is being said.
Swansea City : Does Luke know what he is doing to our club ?There has been much comment and it has to be said bar a few abusive idiots on social media a lot of frustration on those platforms regards Harry Darling and Luke Williams. Much of this brought about by the reluctance of Luke Williams to just clarify his position at Swansea City.
Honestly Luke do you really believe your PR ! Swans crash at Pompey If Swansea City could be any more unimaginative and weak in an away fixture this season it will signal that Luke Williams really hasn’t got the credentials to lead this Swansea team to anything other than complete mediocrity. The very fact he is being linked with West Bromwich Albion (it isn’t a rumour Luke, as you well know) tells us he has already lost heart in this Swansea side, and his reluctance to speak truthfully about it is an insult to Swansea fans.
Pompey v Swans : All your team news & Harry Darling speculation this morning Happy New Year to each and every one of you who have religiously supported the Indy this past year, thank you from all of us here. Swansea City visit Portsmouth today for a 3pm kick off at Fratton Park. Early news points towards Franco not being available with a bad dental injury and Jay Fulton more than likely starting the game.
Swansea City : Is Luke thinking this out ? ‘ Call my agent’ West Brom Swansea City head coach, Luke Williams is either not thinking through his responses to the latest news of West Bromwich Albion being linked to his services, or he’s asking them to come and get him. In any event his remarks post match after a 2-1 win against Luton Town are extremely questionable.
