| Forum Thread | B.L.T /TRAITOR TOURS TO THE WALL BY FY4MIKEH at 21:42 1 Sep 2014
Post: #1 BLT/Traitor Tours to The Wall. 6.30am I was picked up in the Batmobile by Ryder and Bob the CEO of BLT. This guy Ryder really knows how to get the most out of his automobile. He even tried to achieve the ton going up Yeadon Way. Bob suffering badly from sciatica was being jostled about by the G force. We had one quick stop at Norton Canes on the M6, and you can tell we were travelling at the speed of sound as we past Milton Keynes at 9.05am. We finally arrived at Stanmore to be told no trains were running from there. Sod it said Ryder We will go to his mums and leave the tired out vehicle there. He phoned her and she said she would prepare us lunch. We found ourselves going the wrong way on the M1 after our pilot had taken the wrong exit off the roundabout. Well me and Bob gave him some grief. We soon corrected the error. The Edgeware Road was heaving, and we finally reached our destination. Lady Ryder had done us proud with a lovely array of sandwiches that were cut in triangles, scotch eggs which would stoke up Bobs gas problem for tube journey. She even served us Becks in lovely crystal glasses. We watched sky sports on their new 55inch Samsung curved screen television that Arthur had bought Lady Ryder as a surprise birthday present. On finishing our food and drink Arthur a lovely man said he woul drop us off at Sloane Square tube station. Well now the fun was to begin. There were station shut all over the place. We did the jubilee line, Piccadilly line the Victoria line etc, and it seemed the only XXXXXX line we didn't do was a line of Charlie, as we tried to get to our watering hole namely the Mudlark at London Bridge. It was a good job Ryder knew what he was doing, as poor old Bob had to negotiate staircase after staircase. It would be the same nightmare on our return journey so much so Bob was popping tramadol like they were smarties. On arrival at the Mudlark we were greeted by Karen, BRR and his good lady,Beds, Herts, southshorepool ,westherts, tangerine Towerpower ,timbertops and the icon that is west paddock casual, all keyboard warriors off avftt. I approached WPC and having greeted him with are you WPC ? He replied who wants to know ? Me FY4MIKEH, to which he said oh yes I know who you are. Bob said to BRR you need to get the wife a drink, his reply she's in a round over there, she's a lush. After a few scoops we decided to get a cab to the ground and we were joined by David123, nice to meet you by the way, and another Pool fan Kerry who had been an old regular on FY4. Got in a bomber and the cabbie was a right XXXXXXney Jack the lad. He said took the Mrs to Harrods the other day for a fack about. She had a coffee and I had a pint, facking £8. We arrived at the ground at 2.25pm and there were Wall everywhere, and Pool enjoying the sun. No hassle whatever. Won't go on about the game as I never do, only to say Ranger got dogs abuse from the Wall scum. He had the last laugh to their rapist chants by slotting his first Pool goal. Why Riga doesn't start him was a mystery to us all. Returning Bermondsey station was shut, so we jumped on a bus rammed with Wall. They were friendly enough and Ryder was explaining the shambles that Koko has turned us into. We jumped off at the Elephant & Castle and wended our way back to lady Ryder's and Arthur's where once again a buffet was waiting. We declined the Becks and bidding them both farewell we set off at 7pm. One stop at Norton Canes where Ryder informed one of the staff that in 10mins a guy with a painted face etc will be coming in on the BSA coach. Tangoman he never dissapoints. Arrived home at 10.25pm, well done Ryder, me and Bob had a great day, and another speed of sound experience. |

H BLT to Shropshire. Well I'm not going to talk about the match. What was there to talk about....Nowt. I made my way to our new departure venue namely The Boars Head at 1pm and was greeted by my old adversaries Bo, Hazel and the gang. I had started earning my wages by recruiting Jarv and Jimmy( real name ) David that morning, meaning we now had a full mini bus. Other newcomers included Matty BFC fan, Iggy and his good lady, and a group of lads that made our average age a lot lower. A couple of beers and we went to our transport for a 2pm start as we thought. Unfortunately Iggy had told hid ladyfriend the wrong departure time, and she tipped up at 2.40pm. Very apologetic, and with our natives rather wrestles we set off for our trip to the Charles Darwin pub in Shrewsbury. Rammy and Tony Parr had been in The Boars, but they were going on the train to Wigan to travel with our sister company Traitor Tours. One of our crew asked what time we would get there, and when told 5pm his reply was....still plenty of time to get nicked. This gentleman was busy plying himself with bloody Mary's all the way to Shropshire. Plenty of banter and much merriment ensued, a lot relating to one of our disabled fans and his soirée into the world of snooker at a recent event in Blackpool, where he never won a frame. It was muted that he probably couldn't see over the table, and had to have mirrors on his cue. Terrible but all done without any malice. We landed at the pub at 5.10pm and were greeted by quite a few fellow Seasiders, namely our own resident badge seller and his brother. Rob the host made us feel very welcome, and the food and ale were good and very reasonably priced. Some others off the Dark side were in there namely BRR, Bedford and Phil bfc. Jezza and his son were in there, but didn't see him till later at the game. Our youth were busy playing pool, and one lad who is related to our own 77, seemed to be knocking them off the table one by one. When asked for a new challenger, no one seemed keen to come forward. Up stepped my good self, and with the huge support from the BLT faithful, I actually won much to the amazement of the watching crowd. I think David just had an off game. He would have probably beaten me 99 times out of 100. Anyway David thanks mate for letting me win. After food and a few beers we set off for the ground at 7pm. On arrival we saw BSA climbing off their coach with Tangoman decked out with his usual gear, and his lady who one of our group said she would look good as a page3 model in the Screwfix catalogue. Inside I had the pleasure of hooking up with our very own Q and Mrs Q. He looked a little lost out of his comfort zone of Yorkshire, but every credit for them for making the journey. Rodders and Hills were there looking their usual eloquent selves, and Matty told me that on a previous BSA journey he had been touched up by the said Rodders. As I said no comment on the game other than to say the 700 Pool fans sang their hearts out all game long, and if this lot can't perform with the backing they received then god help us. We set off back and one traveller kept us entertained all the way back with stories of his past fights at venues over the years, mainly Southampton. He kept pestering Bob to drop him off at Yates's in Preston so he could have a ruck. We had this for a good hour and a half, but Bob was having none of it. The said guy at one point threatened to open the door and do a roll on the M6. He did start to open the door, then thought better of it. I finally got home at 12.15am, and I'm sorry if there is not a lot of comical content, we still had another great day out. Thanks Bob, Hazel and Andrew. Roll on Wigan. [Post edited 13 Aug 2014 23:05]

| Forum Thread | FY4MIKEH REPORT ON FOREST AWAY WITH B.L.T at 21:32 10 Aug 2014
FY4MIKEH BLT THE ONLY WAY Posts: 17,445 Joined: Apr 2012 Post: #1 BLT/BST to Hooters and beyond. Well the start of a new season, and one which we are unsure how it will pan out. We set sail from The Burlington at 9am with our hosts Bob, Hazel and Andrew greeting us in their usual manner. I had brought a new customer in the form of Barry for his inaugural trip, which had started to justify MR roll of recruitment officer of this fine travel company. We made our way to our next pick up point The Boars Head. Passing the Saddle we saw BSA, and our old adversaries Rodders and Hills. Rodders took great delight in flicking V signs at Bob, as they are not allowed to enter our mode of transport due to Hills not being in full control of his bowel movement, that can erupt at the drop of a hat. At Boars Head we were joined by the honourable Sir Tim Fielding who is one of the head honcho's of the Blackpool Supporters Trust. Now TAM as he is known didn't take long before he was recruiting new members to the fold. Armed with forms and pens he started to real them in and had money being fired his way. Our next pick up was at Kirkham roundabout where our last two climbed aboard, and we set off for the East Midlands. By now the drink had started to flow at a rate of knots and our new traveller couldn't believe how much vodka and coke was being quaffed. We had the Love Blackpool, Hate Oyston flag which we showed to passing motorists. The minibus also adorned OYSTON OUT stickers. The reason for the Oyston anger was of 17 on board, we had 7 of the true Not a Penny More Brigade. Good fans who had made the very difficult decision to not enter Bloomers until the scum are gone, and are going to most away games. For this I have only great admiration to them, something I am not strong enough to go down that route. Hats off to you boys and girls. Also Andy Free the Stockport One is doing a sponsored slim, the donations going to The Parky Fund. I was pleased to donate to a worthy cause. Well done Andy, and I'm sure many on this forum would contribute. After one stop we made our way to Hooters. Hazel deciding to give the lads a re at by shaking her hooters in the direction of the male travellers. Pulling in the car park we saw it was awash with Forest fans. As we alighted our vehicle, they looked at us as if we had two heads. Twelve months ago the place had been rammed with Pool, but this time it was more like a scene from Rorkes Drift. We held the large Tangerine Hate Oyston flag against the outside of the bar, only to be told by some Frank Bruno lookalike bouncer to get that down. The place was rammed but we managed to keep the drink coming especially Primo who had now started to order pitchers of ale. The lasses grabbed a young Hooters girl to have their photo with. My comment of our lot need airbrushing didn't go down well. FY4 who we expected too see in there didn't materialise apart from our very own XOWS and his son. Later on a few of the FY4 youth showed up looking every bit the Danny Dyer wannabees. They behaved themselves. A Hooters girl came out holding a cake with candle in and asked if any of us had a lighter. Well you should have seen the stampede to oblige, even by some of our lot that didn't smoke. Me being Sir Galahad came to her rescue. We left there at 2.15pm and made our way to the Bridgeford Stand where we met Traitor Tours and some of the avftt stalwarts Robbie and Bedfordseasider. The match itself which has been covered on another thread very well I might add, went as we feared due to the circus of how we sign or don't sign players. The return trip had Hazel dancing along, even when she was downing her many vodka and cokes. How she never spills a drop is one of the great wonders of the world. We arrived home at 8.20pm, and although not one of the more lively BLT trips, it was still a cracking day out with great friends old and new. Well done Bob, and I look forward to Tuesday at Shrewsbury. I must take a pen and paper as I'm sure I will have missed some classic one liners. Tory boy did get the usual stick, but I can handle it. |
