As we've had a deluge of threads smashing the place up after recent games can we have one that says...

- good result. We all would have taken that.
- Disgraceful penalty decision, brought about by them screaming blue murder for everything and Cantwell hitting the deck more than any player I've seen since Jack Wilshere was cognicent
- Would, should, have won but for a late sitter

- absolutely not a team that has downed tools and isn't playing for the manager. Dickie and Dieng excellent. Barbet actually quite good defensively second half.

This is the thing we have lost so much quality out of this team in the last few years as a fan base we have to remain patient, as challenging as it can be. At the moment the team is not full of proven championship players but if we trust the process, get a little luck along the way, I believe Warburton can keep us up and take this team and club forward. Looking at the quality lost for example, imagine that team with Bidwell (no world beater, but solid championship defender) and Furlong at full backs. Would make a difference. Then add Smithies (no slight on Dieng) and Luongo and Eze and Freeman. There are a lot of good players gone out the door in the last few years and Warburtons remit is to buy/be given talented youngsters he can develop. We have to give him time to allow the development to take place. We all know results have not been good enough and that is the bottom line but reading this message board for the last few weeks you would think we were bottom of the table with no wins to our name and no chance of survival.

The development is important but it needs to be complemented by being competitive in this league and aspiring to be in the top half of the table. The current 'plan' appears to be keeping out of the bottom three each season and that needs to change. We cannot simply be playing youngsters so they develop; we need to balance that development with players who are comfortable at this level.

Yes, a battling point and one that I certainly didn't see coming but we need to follow it up in the next two games. Four points minimum but aim for six. We really don't want to be in the relegation places if the season is postponed - and the pack is closing.

This. Shame they can't combine that with ball retention.

Anyone else notice the removal of short goal kicks? I think every one went long...

Is this to do with a stark realisation that we have to lump it as it will never get up top if we try to play through the thirds with this lot?

No I don't think so, more to do with the organised pressing of a good Norwich side.

Wow I've been named, Gangster

As it goes I did say on the match thread deserve a point in the end, that's giving credit.

But it's not what would or should change my mind over breadman, too many times he has got a get out of jail card

His win/points average is the worst in years.

Let's not forget many of ya were calling for BOS to be dropped, the only one that looked capable of scoring once that non-striker was taken off, don't see many if any
apologising for that.

The miss looked bad but he was trying his hardest to get there and nearly ended up smashing into the goal post, these things happen.

So good result, like IH's bird in a taxi, nothing more.

How many of you hated him. Pah!

It looked to me, that Cantwell was slightly ahead of the ball when Puki passed it forwards.

Yes that was close - but pointless us or Farke claiming it was onside/offside.

AR is in line, no '18 yard' camera angle so have to accept it.

The issue I had with the referee - no point going over and having a chat/give a warning to the bench - if he goes over there, has to issue a yellow/red card.

I get told that when senior AR by the ref pre match - " I'm not interested in coming over to give warnings, you can do that. If you want me to come over, it will be to issue yellow or red card" - is the pretty much standard instruction I get.

Seen the replays and neither were pens for me, but can dee why the ref gave them - leg out from Ball for that ponce to fall over for theirs and arm on BOS back for him to go down. Both very weak.

Less said about the sitter missed in injury time but I wonder if it's not time to give AA a few games, that was a great cross.

Good point but need to follow up at Luton.

Exactly my view on the pens mate.

So when Dykes misses a sitter it's bad luck, a bad bounce so on, but with BOS it's a shocker/poor touch.

He got a pen from trying, we never see Dykes running into the box with the ball.

By far more disinterested or just a shit striker, don't even need him for pens now.

No its not a bad bounce, it was an excellent last ditch deflection by the defender as highlighted by Sky Sports, it also highlights Dykes can be in the right place at the right time if given the right service,

Dykes was n't bought to run into the box with the ball, something even Kane would struggle to do as a lone striker being marked by 2 and sometimes 3 Centre Halves,

We bought Dykes to replace Hughill (for probably a fifth of the price and wages) and lead the line, primarily playing with his back to goal to build attacks, compare how many chances Hughill missed with the service he had from Eze and Manning (who led some stats table for chances created at one point last season) to Dykes,

The key question is - has he got Washington syndrome (wrong place at right time + poor finishing technique) or is it down to our poor crossing, inability to play the first time ball in the final third etc.

On his performances for Scotland I'm still favouring the latter, I hope I'm right for the club's sake, as without Dykes we have no way of building attacks and are reliant on early balls and quality crosses to Bonne which I think we can all agree we cannot do with our current wingbacks, wingers or midfield players.

Happy to oblige, Northern...

- Good result. I would have taken that at the start of play. Hopefully it'll provide a platform for the team to kick on and register some much needed wins.
- Both penalty decisions were soft though Cantwell's had more of a whiff of dive about it.
- But for a late sitter we could, and should, have won; however on the balance of play it would have been daylight robbery.

For me......

1 - No point in changing the Manager, the players look as though they are still with him, why do we want to start again because that is what happens and it costs. Also he has saved many ££££'s over the period that he has been with us and brought through some young players (Dieng Kakay, Eze, Chair, Samuel, Niko, Masterson and there will be more). No point in keep on giving contracts to young players, Shodipo, Oteh, Lumley (who are actually not really young when they are, clearly, never going to be good enough for the Championship - it needs to stop)

2 - As for last night, a good overall team performance, shocking pens - both of them, a point was more than I expected with our results recently but overall a pleasing.

The ref annoyed me in doing nothing about the Norwich players in his ear, one of them threw the ball on the floor which is supposed to be a booking but nothing and then 2 minutes later same player dives into a poor tackle and gets booked, would have been him off if ref hadn't bottled it.

Great result last night, we can be pleased with the draw.

Still lots to be anxious about but last night was good.

I very much hope Warburton and the team can turn it around and we can get stronger. Time will tell if we can, but as a fan I always want the manager and players to do the best they can, regardless of who they are.

Sums it up for me too... Except for Shodipo I agree with everything here. Those players are still playing for MW and hopefully will get something at the weekend.

Shodipo just hasnt been given enough time. Sure in time he will prove he is as good as the likes of Chair etc.

But this constant call for sacking of the manager must end - Take a look at WBA, has a change done any good there?? Nope and that could be us too

I get the distinct impression that most of that is from people who once upon a time were fervent QPR fans but are now disillusioned and feel the need to point out the shortcomings at each and every opportunity. I get it, you don't like QPR any more but stop trying to disrupt the club for those of us who still have the love for the R's. Social media has a lot to answer for providing a platform for trolls and haters, years ago these people would just have stopped going to games and moaned to their mates about it but now feel the need to draw us all into their miasma of discontentment.
It isn't a fans job to run the club down at every opportunity, save that for our rivals.

Hitting out at those of us who don't back MW to the hilt, telling us to feck off and support the scum are to my mind, willing to put up with anything.

MW is not the club, he is just passing through like all managers good or bad, he is not working for free, if he is performing badly there is nothing wrong in saying so, unreserved support is for children, not football managers.

I don't think I did any of those three things in my post mate.

Fair play to you, you at least come on here, rain or shine and of course, you're right 1 point, albeit decent, doesn't make MW, Pep or Klopp nor would Bright scoring that chance.

Equally though a point v Luton shouldn't be a defining moment either.

Where I am is that, fair enough, if you want MW out, but would it hurt others (not you) to give him and the team some credit when they do something positive - as the poster above says, isn't that what being a fan is all about - enjoying the good moments?

We are all entitled to our opinion, time often sorts out who is right or wrong.

I don't base my opinion on one or 2 games, I'm not that fickle.

It's no secret I would have given Olly a second season ( supporting the manager) I mean... we have done so well since

Luton's last 4 home games: beating Bristol City, Norwich and away specialists PNE; and drawing with Bournemouth.

Based on that, I hope people get over the "it's only Luton" thing (admittedly a natural reaction) and accept that based on this form, a point would be a solid result there.

Tho a happy clapper, I'm happy to accept that following up by beating Wycombe at home is kind of essential...

For the record and while trying to remain positive and not bringing the house down after a decent result.

I still think Warbs will hang himself
Obviously the board are not going to act before the next few games as if they had anything in the fire then last nights result would have made no difference

One swallow and all that , happy with a point but fine margins and it could of gone either way in the end
