Nelson Oliviera 18:27 - Apr 18 with 10550 views | Rancid | Another sub standard loanee striker brought in to fill a gap just like every other season since we got promoted.Anywhere know where Luke Moore is? Geez that Oliviera is poor and why the fook didn't he go down for that pen.Too honest.....aye!!

Nelson Oliviera on 11:41 - Apr 26 by jackrabbit | I totally agree with that. Lack of opportunity -> lack of confidence -> trying too hard -> poor touch and ball retention. Once he scored his goal and settled down , I thought he was really good. He's an intelligent player. I might be wrong but I think there is more to come from him and would like to see him start all remaining games. Unlikely, with Gomis due back for the Arsenal match. I'll make my mind up at the end of the season. He's no Schecter or Vasquez - at worst he's a Graham. |
Good analysis, very much in the Danny Graham mould. His goal stats are very poor, but maybe we can change that.

Yes, plenty of similarities to DG10. A willing runner more suited to a fluid pass and move game than a target man. He's better as the striker than a number 10 imo, he's just a different sort to Wilf/Gomis.

Nelson Oliviera on 11:47 - Apr 26 by jojaca | Seen enough of him yesterday to suggest he's a lot better than N'gog, Shechter type of players we have had recently, more match fitness and games he will only get better. I think he is ideal for 2nd/3rd choice striker for next season. If Michu comes back next season and Gomis stays I would just look for a left back and a right winger for next season and buy the stadium. |
some summary that, I like it
Nelson Oliviera on 09:22 - Apr 27 with 1116 views | oldcob | I think he has much untapped potential. I would be quite happy if he were here next season on a contract. IMO he's going to become a very good player.
Nelson Oliviera on 09:46 - Apr 27 with 1085 views | Clinton | He's only 23, theres more to come from him I think. I'm sure the management will have a fuller picture of his abilities from what they've seen in training. We definitely need a decent back up for next season, I reckon Gomis will miss quite a few with injuries over the season.
| If you can fill the unforgiving minute.
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son! |

Agree with this and oldcobs' assessment. Certainly far, far superior to Schecter and Vasquez. Saying that, I think my Staffies are far superior with the ball, to either of those 2 Has had a few minutes of Sub appearances, had injury problems and therefore needs game time. Looks an intelligent player and maybe just needs a home, like a lot of the waifs and strays we take in. Swansea City sort of like a Battersea dogs home, but for players. Get off his back FFS and give him a go. We could do worse as a back up as he looks ok in midfield as well.
| If you wake up breathing, thats a good start to your day and you'll make many thousands of people envious. |
