Most respectfully, this will be my last post on this subject.
Oil is not the issue, and has never been mentioned by ISIS. Oil is the issue always resorted to by people who want to criticize the West for becoming involved in war in the Middle East, irrespective of what the participants believe is the real reason.
Some have to dispute what the participants say and assign "oil" as the truth. And that's O.K. It's just that no-one else has to believe it, especially in the face of what ISIS itself say, and how it acts.
Finally, have you heard of ISIS tellig the people whom they capture that they must either give up their oil, or leave, or be killed? Or is it "give up your religion and convert to Islam," or leave, or be killed?

I've been very supportive of the Palestinian cause recently but they don't do themselves any favours - why fire into Israel during a peace conference. Idiots.

All muslims,whether sunni or shia (Hezbollah) have a commitment to wipe jews and the state of ISRAEL from the map . THEY REALLY DO WANT TO KILL THEM ALL. Israel ,to me, wants them to stop firing rockets -they kill too-.
Granted Israel go ott ,as they ve always done, but its a reaction not proaction.
Israelis are also not pursueing those whom they disagree with and jewish boys are not freeling this country to behead people either. The land HAMAS is fighting for will have women as virtual slaves, objects belonging to their men , stoning, crucifixtion and body parts chopped off. IS is a terrorist organisation - FACT. It's an ARMY that is recruiting more people than our own armed services, and ALL are willing to martyr themselves for their cause! Remember also that there are high levels of extremists in the UK that, whilst not travelling abroad in the name of their jihad, are still willing to die by committing their crimes in the UK!
It's crazy that you are digging your head in the sand and denying this is as much of a problem - globally, as it is!
It should be shameful that the US and other countries are having to send their own teams of specialists to the UK to find answers, and to hunt for terrorists operating abroad because the UK is a soft-touch, complete with freaking training grounds too! HELL even C4 today announced a 4 yr old kid killed by hamas rockets. They sent 80 today still its Israel s fault innit so its deserved as they should give up the land .

No, I do comprehend it entirely. You clearly don't though.
They have a real chance for change here - with the international community viewing Israel more negatively in this conflict. However, as long as Hamas are in charge, instigating the fighting during a ceasefire for instance instead of seeking diplomatic channels, then they will always be at war.
Hamas drive hate in order to remain in power - it really is that simple! However, if you look at the whole picture, it's isn't the case of fighting against "invaders" and "occupiers". You really do have a naive way of looking into this - very Galloway-esque.
To initiate peace - Hamas needs to go and everyone needs to stop firing weapons. Hamas are the instigators here, even going so far as to fire their rockets from populated areas so there are civilian casualties! It is the civilians who get it in the neck! FACT. Hamas are happy to have civilian casualties as this drives more hate towards Israel and more sentimentality that leads to support for them. They have to go!!
The crazy thing is - Hamas don't even hide this fact.
So clearly this war isn't as one sided as many make out. Whilst Israel clearly have the military dominance, Hamas willingly make the innocents their martyrs.
So there's your answer.

We've had similar in the UK with inciteful messages of hate. Yet authorities do very little for fear of insulting the trouble making Muslim minority.
Yet the EDF are hounded wherever they go.
