Fon Williams set for two months of action with Shakers Thursday, 4th Nov 2010 10:17 County keeper Owain Fon Williams is set for an extended run of first team football at fellow League Two side Bury, following the news that the Shakers regular keeper Cameron Belford was ruled out for eight weeks with a fractured cheekbone. Bury manager Alan Knill moved to sign Owain on a two-month loan deal to cover for the absence of Belford after he picked up the facial injury in their game against Southend United on 23rd October. Fon Williams has made two appearances for the Shakers so far and has received mixed reviews for his performances following a 3-1 win away at Aldershot and a 1-0 loss at home to Bradford. Owain gave away a penalty during Tuesday's home defeat against Bradford after bringing down Jason Price as he took the ball round the on loan stopper, and he was powerless to prevent Omar Daley from scoring the resultant spot kick. With Owain's future at Edgeley Park seemingly over, County fans will be hoping that he plays well over the next few months so that he moves in the January transfer window instead of leaving on a free transfer in the summer. The Hatters can recall Fon Williams after the first month of the loan spell is up, after County manager Paul Simpson ncluded a 24-hour recall clause in the deal. In other news the Hatters have signed West Brom youngster Ryan Allsop on a one-month loan deal following Owain's departure and the fact that youth team keeper Ian Ormson is suspended for three matches. The youngster was suspended for Tuesday's shocking 5-0 defeat at the hands of Morecambe after being sent off in the FA Youth Cup tie at Tranmere on Monday evening.
