Fletcher extends loan spell Monday, 15th Nov 2010 11:26 Burnley striker Wes Fletcher has extended his stay at Edgeley Park after extending his loan spell for a second month. Fletcher bagged his first ever goal for County on Saturday, as we beat local neighbours Bury at Gigg Lane. Wes has made 5 appearances in total since joining the Hatters on loan in mid October and he helped County secure three points against Bury on Saturday, as he scored the only goal of the game in the 15th minute. The 20-year-old received the ball inside the area following a Anthony Pulis cross and he then showed good footwork to turn his marker inside out before firing the ball home past Ritchie Branagan to send us on our way to three points. His performance on Saturday was the best of his loan spell so far so hopefully we will see similar things from him over the coming weeks.
