Gone under the radar somewhat, but the U21 defeat on Tuesday must have been of record proportions. Yes, a learning curve, but what was the factors in a 14 nil.

Spoke to someone who attended this match and it was effectively a Colchester United Academy side.
It would appear there are a few concerns behind the scenes at The Jobserve - not least the state of the pitch!
With the rainfall in Colchester this afternoon let's hope it is covered.
I do sense the club is at something of a crossroads currently.
The pitch was dreadful yesterday. Patches of sand were clearly visible. Allegedly, a lot of money was spent on it last summer. Hope RC kept the receipt!

Are the U’s team being represented by a U19 side only ? The age gap can make a gigantic diffference physically and mentally. Even within an academic year a player born at the start to one born at the end can make such a big difference in their development . U19 v U21 could be the equivalent to a PL club v D2 in terms of status . Have the U21 players all gone on loans ?
